  1. This is what it was all about. The secret to better performance. Changes were made to constantly improve durability and performance...... Early Polaris closed faced clutch
  2. Way to many moving parts to break or wear out. Lots of drag in that chassis almost felt like the early 4 strokes with engine braking. Not sure if the Buzzard could run a constant 65 mph..... Was the first sled to run twin carbide runners in a desperate attempt to make the " big girl " turn....
  3. Just so we can revisit that era.. I'm thinking maybe front shocks stroked 2".
  4. Better off a 440 L/C Rotax in the Indy chassis for 1980. Would have nailed the market. Instead BRP faithful were treated to more of the Buzzard line up..... Say no more......
  5. My mistake P90 with chaincase. Just looked at my wood hauler 96 indy lite gt.
  6. Also very nice trail east of there that will bring you back on the Sequin east of the Petro can
  7. Not all that is why I said chaincase models use P85. Restrict the throttle inside the carb slide. Plastic sleeve inside slide will hit the top. Remove sleeve and cut a little more off each year giving a little more speed as the kids get used to it. How old are the kids?
  8. Indy lite makes a good kids sled. Make sure it has a chaincase. Great engine P85 drive think they use a 121 track and mikuni carbs. A kids sled needs to run all day without any BS. 70's and 80's are sure to give you BS on a large scale
  9. Being the mean SOB I am...... I would of had the discharge chute pointing to the right. No shoes on the auger blasting rocks, dirt and snow as the Puzzler rode past..... All the time thinking to myself.." This I my trail Bitch".........
  10. The Tnt / Everest chassis was decent back in the day. Now Polar Fire was a whole different can of worms. Think the later models mounted the box away from the engine to reduce the heat soak. Best to ask our resident BRP/ Snow Goer expert...... Mr.Puzzler
  11. Air box removal and install was a real treat on that chassis. Way too many moving parts in the front steering and suspension. The days of standing on the Holland river watching my fellow BRP faithful removing/ cutting drive belts off the primary. Typically more rubber in the bellypan then the Goodyear tire plant. Had a chance to ride a few. Felt like riding a 36" dia log....
  12. Might be just going to park it on the Bush. Use it as a " salt lick " for the local deer population......
  13. I having a real hard time removing that visual from my head....... I'm hoping he at least put down some 6mil Polly around his " work out station ".......
  14. Tell him don't forget to open up the drapes first......
  15. Sure glad I did all my pre-season maintenance before the heavy snow came.
  16. Seen this Buzzard and Puzzler came to mind. Looking sweet just a can of Sea foam and some fresh gas. And as they say " off to the races "....
  17. Sometimes you have to tell some people in both ears. Hoping it will "sink " in...... See you guys next year!!!!
  18. I can't imagine the hours of abuse the 9500 Buzzard picture took.... And with Canada post no longer handling hazardous waste. Sending them back is no longer an option. But thanks for the offer to return them
  19. Looks great!!! Remember looking at a new 400 D. And thinking what does Merc know about fast sled. The rest is history!
  20. Guess stores can't hang a sign saying " No Blacks " anymore. Or mass club them as they did in Selma. Is the problem 100% fixed I would say not. But that's my opinion. Could it be better again it's an opinion. I say it could be a lot better.
  21. Wasn't there a slight problem when Tiger Woods won the Masters the first time. Wasn't it at an " All White " golf club. Again that must have been 100 yrs ago.
