  1. That's the other thing, dressing for it, you run light during the day but at night you need to have extra layers. Spring can have 45 degree days and 10 degree nights. Plan for it
  2. It's spring folks!! Temperatures are mild, sun is high in the sky, of course there is some low/no snow on the trail and once you hit the right spots it's heaven!!! Carbides and slides are the least expensive And easiest parts to maintain and if your sled isn't prone to over heating, have fun!! i like it at the gas stations and bars this time of year, how's the trails they ask? Welp, 1-10!!! Lol
  3. No shit? 6500 on the f7,8500 on the f10 and I'm at 8000 on my turbo, in fact I was just asking hcs about this, hell im just going to run mine till it pukes and put a new one on
  4. I used to ride Polaris in the 90's and you could grease the driveshaft and jackshaft bearings and I don't recall having too much trouble with the idler wheels. Nowa days these guys are counting on selling parts/service making money anyway they can vs taking care of customer. And sales are down and they wonder why?
  5. We had some problems that needed some attention. All is well now. Ive always loved the way the stock 1100 turbos run though. Really good power. I think it's better then my 03 f7 and 08 f1000 were, hell I know it is. 100 mph wheelies turn me on, especially at night on rr beds, riding in the dark!!
  6. my old supervisor years ago had a 600 sport doo with a wrap, that thing was boring on the river, like fall asleep boring, but back in the woods on tight twisty trails he was gone!! No way to keep up on my turbo. The smaller sleds win in handling. They cost less, and if the majority of your time is spent at speeds under 60 mph.. the 500/600 class sleds make sense. I wouldn't mind having one for trail rides/races
  7. Did another 180 miles today and the 1100 procross turbo is getting 15 mpg on 87 octane and it was mid 40's out!! How does a sled that will carry the skis at will right on past the c note with ease be so efficient? That's cool, I'm knocking on 8,000 miles and I swear the engine is getting stronger and stronger!! Is this damn thing still breaking in? How tight did Suzuki build these? Also for the record, I'm the only guy that I know who followed the strict 500 mile break in and never modded any thing ever. Next winter I want put in a 14 inch wide trick with some chisels and see what this thing will run in a 1000 feet!
  8. What happened was the dealer that sold me my f7 and f1000 lost rights to cat somehow and cat merged with my local ski doo/Yamaha/Polaris dealer. I blew my pipe on my f10 at end of season so just for fun I brought it to country cat and they were great, then that spring they had proto type 1100 turbo procross on the show room floor so I thought why not? Great service, great price, great dealer. Well, when they had 100's and 100's of broken down pro cross under warranty sitting out back and I had to wait in lines at the service desk to get mine checked in. I thought oh shit!! I was really nice but sure shit they started pulling customer pay card out on me I couldn't believe it!! I think cat might have straightened them out on it. Never went back to see, loaded my sled up and got the hell out of there
  9. Yep, I Spring checked it from country cat and they tried to give me the run around on warranty and I got cat involved!! I had cat shipping parts to my door!! The only known problem that didn't bite me was the jack shaft, otherwise it had every single failure they were known for me. I think what got cat on my side is they knew I had a 2003 f7 with 4 years of warranty and a 2008 f1000 with 4 years of warranty and they were able to look at my service history and saw that I had a legitimate bitch with my turbo!! I switched dealers too mid way thru warranty. sled is fixed now and working good.
  10. 2012 1100 turbo sno pro, trail riding, 87 octane, averages 15 mpg, this season, just past 7500 miles on it and power and mpg went up. if I'm running 91 octane and really beating the piss out of it or pushing waste deep snow all day it drops to 12 mpg I've been told if I put a muffler and a tune in it the mpg goes up
  11. I miss the quick adjust seat and bars my f1000 had, I could always get comfy on that thing
  12. They combined the rr suspension and lxr by just pushing a button. Id say it's worth a demo ride, definitely not spring check until absolutely proven to work
  13. Jeezus, had no idea when I bought my procross back 2011 that cat was keeping that design 8 years later!!! is there really anybody gonna buy one of these? Hell yeah there is, cat has the most reliable chassis and the most reliable engines, the rest of the sled is so so. But so so is better then popping engines and bending nuns
  14. I'm fairly certain the procross chassis is history. I hope that's a good thing
  15. You'll be rocking out with your cock out once you get that bitch dialed you'll be stripper happy. 1000 is a agriculture motor spinning so low but will make the hairs on your neck stand up in mid range trail and curl your toes on top end
  16. Cat had a proto type ready, and Suzuki was always with holding cat from engine tech, that's why cat bought them out and started building there own engines, Suzuki held a 1/3 of the shares and had board seats. Suzuki was conservative
  17. Now you know why we all got pissed off when the 1000 mated with dd drive did not end up in the procross. What made me even more pissed is cat had a 1000 ho but Suzuki said no. Cat was real sore with Suzuki
  18. You need a license to buy tobacco, drive or buy guns, age 16 you pass the test, good to go, problem solved imo. I also think 16 is acceptable age to join military. They did it in ww2
  19. There truly was a heat exchanger motor mount problem. Mine had it. Got everything covered under warranty, I got the whole sled covered under warranty!! It's been perfect since, 7500 miles, 1 payment left, spring ordered it in 2011. Total nightmare, but all good now. Was gonna sell it cheap and buy Polaris. No snow/can't make my mind up. Limited flex money. But I can defend cat, that mines good now. It was a dirty rotten trip getting it that way, cat did mail me extended warranty. Which brought it up to 3 years. And over all the chassis/motor is rock solid. Of course cat is long gone now and now it's textron/Yamaha so none of this matters and now they are realessing some copy cat shit next week to try and steal some doo poo over. Ill just keep riding my junker 2012 pro cross Suzuki.
  20. it was a logical next step from a marketing point of view. They built up a loyal following of 4 stroke customers and now they threw em another bone. I get it
  21. I quite literally get kicked out of every bar I go in too. It isn't right cause I'm a good guy. Very frustrating
  22. im loving the society we have today. This is exactly what I was hoping it was going to be. Bunch of bad ass mother fuckers that are nutz. I love it. This is the shit your government don't like. And never will and it ain't going away . Sorry
  23. He just can't pass the test and make the big bucks and mean while he spends his time at the emergency room while his employer looks for somebody to replace him
  24. Doesn't it make more sense to really stock up!! Other wise you might run out or have to make several trips to the store.. so much do you keep on hand?
