  1. Still trying to change the topic away from getting because you can't count, and don't have the slightest clue how averages work.. You don't even have a sled, let alone trails, or snow. Post up some pics, you poser.
  2. As usual you are wrong, are arguing with someone who has more time/miles on a catalyst, and actually rides the sled the way its intended. Unlike you putting around like old people fuck.
  3. I see you still can't count, and couldn't understand the link I posted. Only one of the 29 areas in AK gets more snow than CA, NH, or NY Lets see pics of all the snow and riding you have...
  4. assuming that the new last year regional manager ignores you too
  5. If they listened to the comments from people at the shows, and online, they would already know about the seat foam, and clutching, acknowledge the issues, and at least lie and say "we're looking into it" As those are the 2 biggest things spoken about on catalyst pages..
  6. We all know you are far, far too stupid to understand the concept of average, but here is a good place for you to start: https://numberdyslexia.com/mean-median-mode-activities/ You should go back and review that list of the most snowfall, which proves that on average counties in NY, NH, CA, and AZ get more snow, than the vast majority of AK. We're all impressed by all the pics of snow, your sled, and your riding you've posted.
  7. Episode 2 they said said it pulled over so hard they would consider buying one with electric start. They also said it took 2 pulls to start, every time. Which is weird as all prior cat laydown engines I've experienced start on the first pull, unless it hasn't run in days. They also rated it as "heavier feeling while riding" than doo, or poo, and spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out why ac won't build a normal skid with 2 rails for it, (that question gets asked all the time)

    Oops ...

I didn't bother, @Palu49 beat us both to it, but he used it to show how few catalyst sleds ac built
  9. Explain what is different with the crank, and how that would change anything at all, with how the engine runs, or feels to the rider Textron fired several of the experienced calibration guys when they took over, for a while there was 1 person heading engine calibration of dirt, and snow. They also fired an long time experienced calibration guy during the last round of firing engineering staff. Dynotech ran the engine to see how much HP it makes, because that's what everyone cares about on a new big engine. If no one cared about HP 440 fanners would be the biggest selling category. If you want test for throttle response and low end performance, you sure can. Listening to the snowest guys, you could hear the disappointment, they all seemed to make excuses for it
  10. You've spent all summer claiming that sled he was on last spring was a stock production sled, and are trying to completely ignore how much time he has had testing and working on it during developlment
  11. Leathers are abrasion resistant...
  12. 2nd year Zach has been racing it, and he had been working with it throughout development as well.
  13. They can't even get the valving right on the standard shocks, you want them to valve, and calibrate software too
  14. so a system that monitors breaking, acceleration (in all directions) and several other factors, then adjusts all 4 shocks 200 times a second, isn't even close to one you set on low and never touch all season???
  15. turbo has more top end because it makes more hp I haven't torn down and measured both engines, but I'm willing to bet the 9 has higher compression ratio, and different porting than the turbo machine, hence the better response.
  16. from a tech standpoint it would be as easy, or easier to make more hp by adding boost to the 850, than boosting the 9r
  17. Thats what it is saying, but it could be made up, is all.
  18. I'm not saying they do, or that they had anything to to with the claims in that screen shot
  19. I've been saying anything less than the 9R isn't going to cut it. Doo, and poo haven't had their engine development guys sitting with their thumbs up their ass the last 8 years (and poo gained quite a few guys quality guys that textron fired) Chances are they both have the next generation ready to go, which is why AC needed to leap frog them, instead of just catching up. Hell poo will prob release the 9r trail sled in a couple days. Textron's marketing department has been claiming the 800 was "165 class horse power" for a long time. That lead to a ton of folks thinking the new engine will be in the 180's. every post and every thread around the release was full of people claiming it would be 165+11% Now it comes out and its the same "165 class horse power" I just hope it actually runs, if its clutched as bad as the 600 its going to be a blood bath next winter.
  20. He said crown, not Crown Royal. Jimwit, and alaskan karen have the same beverage of choice:
  21. better check your claims: https://snowgoer.com/news/ny-shootout-results-times-dyno-test-and-more/30053/ If consumers didn't care, we would all be riding free air singles.. HP and performance sells, right behind new tech. 600 cc sleds haven't been the top selling catagory in a decade or more. Until the catalyst came out, we sold more 998 turbos than 600's. In 2016 the 850 doo made 170 at dynotech, a year later the 840 poo made 167 or 169 Textron has had since 2018 to develop something better than that, and they had the best 2 stroke design/development team in the world to do it. But instead, they fired most of the team, and cut the r&d budget to almost 0. Those guys had patents on direct injected turbo (fed with pressurized oil) 2 stroke. What the end up putting out is an engine that equals a 8 year old doo, and a 7 year old poo, and comes in less than the 9r. Do you really thing that poo, and doo stopped development 8 years ago? This engine needed to meet or beat the 9r on the dyno, because just equaling the competition isn't going to be anywhere near enough to bring back all the customers they drove away, let alone bring in new customers.
