  1. This is correct and noted a few posts up if I am not mistaken.
  2. I was actually referring to the RV's, the larger ones, with a 20 to 30 foot trailer in tow.....when you consider the length and weight, its is quite the set up.
  3. lol, too funny. I can only claim what I have witnessed...... The one thing that was evident this past Sunday, Cats were all over the place, it was kind of odd to see so many.
  4. Cat has always been the under dog anyways, compared to the others......but still around, for now ! Oh come on, you tried to fish and was hoping someone would actually believe that story....your mighty and strong 1200 Doo. Others have made similar claims....
  5. Textron paid a quarter of a billion for a company that just went bankrupt..... I don't what I would do with all that machine...pretty fancy, but I forgot what make it was.....remember I ride a Cat, light years behind all else! Were you not just suggesting how some take things a little too serious around here. Yep, you got me, totally suggesting that Doo ran a true 116mph.... When it comes to top speed runs, my sled is a dog in that category.....I actually missed the top speed lake runs this weekend, we rode quite a few, albeit most had a fair amount of snow on them.
  6. Just to add one small detail, these rules do not apply to recreation trailers i.e. travel trailers, 5th wheels, etc..... as silly as that sounds when you see some of rigs people are hauling around.
  7. Proof once more just how puzzled you are......they are called dream-o-meters on the Doo.... On a Cat, a speedometer actually means something & serves its true purpose. I would like to suggest that it must be another gauge in the pic, but only the backward Queerbeckers have a gauge like that... Hey, whats that little Blue light on the left.....something not quite right on that Doo, better get it looked at.... I am sure it was nice to get out though , I know I enjoyed the ride, even if the trails were beat & the freezing rain we had, everything else was great.... Which part of the Muskoka did you ride and how were the trails?
  8. That is what demo's are for....nice to be able to take a spin on something you might buy. My sled was actually a demo, price was right, so I bought it....plus it had like 200 miles on it....
  9. Free of charge too.....but if you install a few more pieces of insulation & some interior pine boards, he would surely appreciate it! Comes with a great wood stove, fire wood, outdoor shitter and some interior & exterior LED lights. It is actually a real nice warm up shack!
  10. No pics, sorry Puzzled, but a few of us rode the Orillia & SC trails today, I think I ended up with 180ish miles, might be more, not too sure, but I rode from the furthest point....the best running today bar none was the lakes and the roads, trails were not friendly at all today....both clubs could use a little trail grooming, and traffic was actually not bad. The freezing rain sucked real bad.... Started with 007Rob, 04nightfire & Reevester....meet Pete Z for the first time at his lovely warn up shack, who was kind enough to share a few drinks with us and ran into Tommy on the way home....P.S. don't buy that demo that he rides, trust me....
  11. Stop posting pictures of your riding adventures, it is upsetting to some..... I see that Doo is still hanging in there

lol...going backwards it seems. My wife loved the F7 too, the 05 and 06 had the wider couch like seat....she still reminds me how upset she was when I sold it and she was 4 months pregnant....

I had the 05 with chain case reverse as well....fastest I ever saw was 120, but I guess you could say it was modified, replaced the secondary spring with a much lighter one. I think it came with a Green one that was super stiff, installed the Red one if I am not mistaken and it made a huge difference. Had to replace one of the upper drive bearing as well, but it was the forth season when the wife was now riding it, it happened near Baysville. Sled had between 6/7000 miles, which is not bad for a dry bearing to last as far as I am concerned....routine maintenance stuff.
  14. So, tell me something, Puzz and Poncho must have been childhood or teenage friends at some point......right....
  15. Well, that is what today is all about....hey, look at me..... But seriously, I love to see pictures of the trails, even if I am not the one there, I enjoy seeing others enjoying the sport At the age most of us are at (I think), key board riding does not hurt as much.....
  16. Doesn't talking on sled forums count for some mileage....
  17. Is that you use to give you such great luck with those Doo's ...
  18. I am partial to Coors, but will drink any free beer

I used to frequent Simcoe a lot when I had my F7, radar runs regularly by Gilford or a short track at Soldiers Bay.....did not hear about it.

Seems like daja vu, this discussion....but zero here....and yes, it would pull north of 100 easy, on the gun, that the speedo happened to match within a mile or two.....

Yep. Most did not know the differences between the regular and the R, shorter and narrower track, not sure what all else. I think it came in 09, two years of people complaining about how slow the barney was compared to the F7, so this was the fix.

Cat speedo's have always been very accurate actually....compared to the Doo & Poo dream-o-meters....Yamaha was never in these discussion, for obvious reasons..... Nope, real world results.....but you need to come out of that Doo bubble for it to register.... I must ride a cat or something or......

The CFR 800 or 1000 were the fastest sleds on the snow back then. North of 100 was not surprising at all, and on a totally stock one.
