  1. You think all rich people are republicans? I'm fine with zero deductions, but in reality the mortgage and child deduction would need to be phased out over a very long period of time.
  2. No, if you notice I answered every question, he can't answer a simple yes or no question.
  3. You are correct. Nothing ,just point out the facts.
  4. Some do yes. What is the split between the farm share and the SNAP benefits?
  5. No. I have answered every question, you can't answer a simple yes or no question.
  6. It's a simple yes or no answer. Do red states get more fed dollars than blue?
  7. It is still federal money, and the red states on average get twice the amount.
  8. Yes it is one country, and it is true that the red states while talking about how government is to big and too involved( and it is) are collecting more fed. tax dollars.
  9. You don't answer a question with a question. As soon as you answer my question I will answer yours.
  10. Simple question what states get more federal aid red or blue?
  11. The system is too big for sure. The fact that the fed. gives a lot more money to one state and that state can lower its tax rate, and have business's from the state that doesn't get the money move to those states is pretty fucked up.
  12. Your party's base is the red states they get more federal tax dollars than the blue states, eliminate all federal funding for low income people and it will hurt far more people in the red states then it will in blue.
  13. No they aren't. Red states get far more federal aid than blue states, that include SNAP, welfare ect.
  14. Far more of the 47% are red state voting base, hence the reason they get on average nearly twice the amount of federal aid.
  15. I have no problem lets make it zero deductions, everyone pays the same percentage. No one owes me, you are right. Why should my state get less money back than the red states?
  16. Yes. And I don't think it is right. If you Google or look at the links posted in this thread you will see it is the red states that benefit more than blue.
  17. Because it costs money to raise children just like it costs to buy a house. I don't think it's fair for anyone to get more than they pay in. Fact is and you won't like it, the red states get more than the blue states, don't think they vote left.
  18. I'm all for one tax code for everyone, very simple two deductions, mortgage interest and minor children. You seem to think it's fair for some states to get twice as much back from the federal government. Why is that?
  19. Perhaps all states should receive the same percentage of federal tax returned to them, instead of some states getting nearly twice as much on average, therefore they are able to operate with lower state taxes.
  20. I was referring to the business's moving to states with lower taxes, many times those states receive more federal tax dollars and may actually be getting monies from the states business's are moving out of.
  21. Many times to foreign countries or other states where their federal tax dollars are sent at a rate nearly twice the rate as the state they are moving from.
  22. He should be able to get the same amount of money for his state as the others get for theirs. And they should cut excessive spending. When you lose companies to other states with lower taxes because those states get nearly twice the money back from the federal government, I think it's reasonable to ask for the same reimbursement.
  23. Sounds like he is trying. Has he asked the federal government to increase reimbursement to the level of red states?
  24. Perhaps if Illinois received the same amount of federal dollars as some of the states with lower taxes it would be easier to balance their budget.
