Sig Sauer P229 .40cal. Switching over to 9mm soon. Several pistols being tested. Hoping Sig is our next choice as well. One of the best made handguns out there. Mine has survived being frozen, swimming, mud, sand, dust etc... Never a single malfunction. AND most importantly (to me and my family anyway) saved my life.

I do read...rarely reply.. Those that hate us, usually do so blindly and there is nothing that can be done to change their opinion.. Zoso anyone? Many cop haters I meet really can't even explain why they hate. Its usually based on third and fourth party information and almost never based on something they've actually experienced. Been doing this awhile...yep, have seen a couple idiot cops do some stupid stuff. Have never personally witnessed any actual corruption. Like any profession, most good, a few bad. Its funny though, I'd be a douche bag asshole cop if I cam on here and said all sledders are drunken wife beaters...based on the ones I've dealt with. In the end, I do what I can..help you guys as much as possible and laugh at the bashing. It could just be a magical myth but I've "heard" that occasionally cop bashing posts (internet wide) may used for entertainment and drinking games!!! I'd highly recommend it. Doesn't take much to contract Hep A or B these days, even in "clean" resorts. One tainted ice cube and you could be done. Like Poncho, had to have certain vaccinations as condition of employment. Have never had an issue...used Twinrix few yrs ago as a booster prior to going south. Felt fine. Cheap insurance really...

Was just curious...watch it all the time. Have become friends with the one host, Steven Bull.. Great guy. The did a shoot down in my are to televised this season. It was during a joint exercise with us (OPP), the pony soldiers (RCMP) and some fire guys. He has his own 380 SeaRay.. 2000 I believe which gets featured on the show often under the "My Boat" section in which they detail upgrades that can be done.. One of the very few Canadian shows I enjoy.

Its a weird loophole...akin to say RADAR detectors. Illegal to use but not purchase or possess. Many laws like that. Certainly they can be fined for using any non-stock muffler/exhaust along a trail or roadway but there are no provisions to seize the piece of equipment. You could probably stretch a few pieces of legislation and articulate a seizure but that's not really what those pieces of legislation were intended for. I know the guys in my unit will always fine an offender but that's a few sleds out of thousands. Like you, I don't understand why some feel they need louder exhaust. To me it sounds stupid and would get irritating on a longer ride. I include motorcycles in this as well. I also see people running off the trails far too often and again don't understand why... Go find your own private property for that. As for your question.. to make possession illegal you'd have to start by petitioning your local MPP or any sled minded MPP with similar thoughts and have him/her introduce a private members bill. Perhaps make it an enviro issue? Get petitions going as well... This is how ATV's and now side by sides are now road legal.
