  1. Cheap money is the linchpin holding the economy together......and that is exactly why this recession will be different the 08-09. This is more of a small business bloodletting, it hasn't hit the individual as hard as in prior recessions. I was much better off this time, and went in pretty hard so when the ride is over it is what it is. 100% ROR on HAL and Apple is sitting right at 30%. I had some loosers in there, but those two more then made up for it.
  2. Because there are so many retail investors that it is changing the market rapidly. Plus the tech sector has been so fucking good to me. Tesla is an example of the current market, now don't get me wrong I very much believe that Tesla is a bubble.....the EPS doesn't support the price. Ill hold Apple for a while and see what happens. My next move is going to be NCLH. There is going to be money to be made there. My 401k holdings reflect my feelings towards tech. 50% in CGTUX and 50% in T.ROwe LargeCap Growth 1 Seperate -Z (as of this AM ROR of 32.17%)
  3. I bought APPL the day they announced the split. 411.08.
  4. I've had a loaded hand gun in my console and been pulled over. I didn't say a word about it, but it wasn't physically on my body (I have a carry permit). Registration was in the glove box, so I wasn't reaching around the weapon.
  5. No I do not think it is the law just a respect thing. I don't think I would enjoy being shot.
  6. I don't believe so and I don't think it is. However, that should be the first thing you tell them, should you be actually carrying that day.
  7. They didn't at the trial I was part of. Our jury let the guy walk, I went home after and looked him up.......history of sex offences....FML
  8. That's all I'm asking. I know a guy here locally that has some drug charges in his past, served his time, and is now a chef. Why should he have to answer if he has drugs in the car, when he got pulled over for rolling a stop sign? The system seem to suck people in and bleed them dry.
  9. Entire record or just violent offences? You can see how investigating a record could pre-dispose an officer to look harder for offences though....right?
  10. Know a persons arrest record? I served on a jury for a child molestation case. One of the instructions was that we were not allowed to look up or read about the defendants past....no news no criminal records....nothing. This has me wondering, what if cops didn't know of past trials and charges (only current warrants)? Would it help some people break out of "the system?" Thoughts?
  11. Agreed. a weapon changes everything. Still unfortunate, for everyone involved
  12. I agree completely. In my opinion there are about three problems all happening at once. We have a police problem, a law (amount of laws) problem, and a race problem. About time we start checking off boxes. Should have happened when Freddie Grey got his rough ride but that wasn't on camera..........
  13. Probably to tell his THREE kids in the car that he was going to jail for some bullshit charge...... No reason for these cops to keep killing people (most importantly black people). I said it.
  14. Those slugs were FMJ and they flew him out. Crazy that he took 7 shots and is still alive though
  15. To play on that.....everything is video taped now, I can't believe that is lost on them. Crazy to think that the invention of a simple camera phone will be responsible for systematic reform in policing.
  16. Pretty simple concept. Police Need To Stop Killing People
  17. If I read right, THREE kids in the car....... can you imagine watching your dad take 7 rounds...... sweet fuck
  18. That shit happens fast man. Totally seemingly harmless tasks can bite you quickly. Very curious how much the fix is going to cost insurance.....my bet is 20k billed, settle for about 8k
  19. Me too. Knew as soon as it grabbed I was fucked. Over the past year I've fucked three fingers on that hand. Last year I was pulling a knife roll (read that as knives tucked into a wax cloth roll individually) out of my catering trailer and it unrolled because the buckles weren't fastened. Cut the top of my pinky to the bone, had to put a pin in that for 10 weeks. I'm not on a good run.
  20. Drive belt on my mower drive pumps went and in a really shitty spot. Replaced the belt and put the deck belt back on. Started it up, engaged the PTO no travel, turned the deck off, set the break and idled it down so I could have a peek. Noticed that the clutch wasn't super free when I was replacing the drive belt, so naturally I went to tap on it (couldn't see very well with the mower being were it was) about 3 taps in, she went live......with my fingers. Turns out on the last knock I tapped a little too high. Sucked. Did keep my fingers, but I do have two pins in them. Pays to live with-in 1 hour of some of the best trauma centers in the country.
  21. Funny you should post this. Circa last Monday, not a very good fucking evening.
  22. I took a little heat when I moved my 401k balances earlier this year. Very happy with these returns!
  23. I run Nitto Terra's on my truck. Ill say Goodyear tires suck......but not nearly as much as Firestones........
