  1. I understand that, but I prefer my handloads, tailored to our pistols, for competition shooting.
  2. Yep. Thanks. This is becoming more and more something I don't want to do. New platform to learn, the high mileage could quickly eat up any low price, parts supply to repair this year is iffy. Not to mention that we don't know where the economy and fuel prices are going by wintertime. If the economy goes really south and/or gas price is $10.00, maybe there will be reasonable 2015+ 600 ProS come to the market!
  3. Yeah, I'm hip on the shock and track part and both sleds tracks are good. (been replaced). '16 has had clutcher gone thru by dealer laft fall, new slides, wheel bearings and intake boots. I talked to the dealer wrench that did the work. Says it's a good sled but you know..... also said he has 600's with isoflex bearing out there with 14000 on them all original. exchange program? On crank parts/rebuild?
  4. Does the 16 goo still have Isoflex or has that been changed to pressure lubricated roller bearings like the 850?
  5. Not an option near us, but we can ride from home. I may have her go out on a buds' GF/wife's sleds first. But that requires snow, and we know what happens to the price of anything that runs 'n goes then.
  6. Being a Polaris guy, I'd walk away from that mileage. I know very little about Skidoo so could use some advice. I want an inexpensive, relatively low maintaince, sled for the 64yr. old wife who probably won't ride much. And possibly for me as back-up. Seller is second owner and only knows that he took the sled to the dealer after he purchased it last fall and had it serviced. They did install new intake boots and new rollers in clutches. He knows nothing else. Newbie. What say you Bombardier folks? And, it's a 4hr. one-way drive. Which doesn't bother, if you think it's worth risking 4200.
  7. Yeah, but those of us that handload for action pistol want to know where the hell all the primers are! If we can find them, the price is 3X what it was 2 years ago. FJB
  8. I don't believe what I just saw an hour ago! Nice 72-degree sunny day, a man driving his convertible, alone, with the TOP DOWN..... wearing a mask!
  9. Yeah, one of the eateries I referenced spent mega bucks in the summer/fall of 2020 to build an "outdoor' pavilion complete with electricity, radiant overhead heat, rolling doors on the windward side, and a small bar to handle the overflow for the winter and to keep people "safe" who didn't want to mingle in winter of 2021-22. It didn't get used much last winter. My PT person wears a mask to this day, but when she's in the office with the office girls, she removes it. What's up with that? The Dr. of PT she works with doesn't wear one? It's obviously not mandated by the clinic.
  10. All the tourists coming from NY, Mass, Conn. and other points South for sledding in Vermont during the winter of 2020 were supposed to have a negative covid test within 72 hrs. and quarantine/ride only with immediate family members. NOBODY DID! Those states were all HOT with covid. I spent AT LEAST one afternoon/evening a week in local Northern Vt. eateries surrounded by those folks. We had to walk in masked or with t-necks pulled over our face, but once we were seated, unmasking was OK. COVID apparently didn't exist below 5 feet of atmosphere. I have no idea how unvaccinated, 70 yr. old, high risk, me, made it thru alive from a winter mingling with all those possibly virus infected people. 2021-2022 same establishments, plexiglass was down at the bars and we were back to almost normal, and I'm still COVID free. Go figure.
  11. People stopped dying of heart attacks, cancer and the flu during the COVID "plandemic". Then suddenly Ukraine ended the worldwide plandemic just like magic.
  12. I dispute that. Early on, in June of 2020 there was an early 20's kid in Florida that died from COVID complications. That they found his motorcycle in four separate pieces had no bearing on the death diagnosis.
  13. And now we're rewarding them by sending them oil from our SPR while they buy cheap oil from Putin and help support the Ruble. FJB
  14. Here's the pictures I promised of the driveshaft bearing that's going in my 2016 SB Pro S. You'll notice that it has a steel seal on the inside and no seal on the cup (outer) side. Once installed, you need to fill the cavity with grease until you can feel grease being pushed out of the inside steel seal. After that, a couple pumps a year. Contact Northstar Performance in Conway, NH if interested.
  15. At the very least, that deflector could help keep ice from destroying the seal. I wonder why they don't fit guards like that at the factory at the ends of BOTH shafts since ice has been known to take out chaincase seals.
  16. Interesting. The Northstar greasable bearing I'm going to use has steel seals with grease holes in the outboard race to allow the grease from the grease nippled cup to get to the bearing. I've got the same one on the driveshaft of my 2014. I'll post a picture.
  17. And replacing this over-dealer lubricated bearing.
  18. Picked up my clutch kit, jack and drive shaft bearings, fuel tank filter and A-arm bushings from Northstar Performance Thursday. Look what I found when installing the A-Arm bushings yesterday! Ya's never have noticed it without removing or turning sled on it's side and looking for it! New one ordered.
  19. Have her try a 600 Pro S from 2015-2020.
  20. We were on a way to a match in Pa. a few years back and missed the exit we were supposed to get off on the NY state thruway. We ended up going thru NJ, and NEWARK. I remarked to the wife that I didn't know what we should get first should we get a flat, the pistols from the locked case, or the spare! I was dead serious.
  21. There are already places where you can't carry under federal law like courthouses and post offices and some states prohibit carrying where alcohol is served. probably Hochel will make grocery stores and a mirad of other places outside your home illegal. My hope is that IF, you have a permit from another state, you will be allowed to traverse NY without having to lock your unloaded gun in your trunk! We northern New Englanders can't get out of here other than to Me, NH, or Vt. with firearms to anywhere else in the country without going thru Mass. and NY.
  22. People from NY better be putting in their apps ASAP before the leftist legislature and Governor add in some more hoops to jump thru. The state knows damn well that whatever they illegally add to the permit process to get them back to where they were before yesterday will take ten years or more before it's overturned on appeal. I'm sure the states affected will now use the "unprecdented demand that has created a huge backlog due to budgetary restraints and not having the manpower to process in a timely manner, excuse."
  23. Stopped in Memorial Day 2021 for lunch when we were out for a regional IDPA match all the way from Vermont.. Loren's now a Congresscritter representing the people from her part of Colorado!
