  1. Which was far better than both competitors, in fact, the boys both said the competition needs to step up
  2. Agreed, if they offer nothing for the Spring that may signal the end. Not sure they can go a year or two and then make a comeback. It's not like the days of yore when there was always good quality snow, lot's of customers and a fairly stabile market. I miss those days
  3. He must be crushed with the real world reviews on these models.
  4. Seems they are more obsessed with just the front end. You'd think Poo paid for this review
  5. The commentary is pretty cool, is that AK on a gallon of washer fluid
  6. I see a recall has been issued for some of these models. Kinda late, but better late than never
  7. Seems the conditions in Ontario are similar to Wisconsin. Lot's of cold, lots of cold in the forecast, lakes good (never froze till mid January last year) and there are 6,000 km of trails out of 40,000 ish open. Versus unfrozen lakes and minimal snow last year. This is two years of economic impact here.
  8. I for one would not be shocked. I worry the prices might be higher as dealers would have no floor stock, except for those that might back out of a Spring Order. The mfr's to protect against something like this could increase the amount of deposit as mitigation. I doubt the ski hills and their related businesses hurt (still hurts) as much as the sled business as those guys can at least make snow. Maybe whom ever buys the A/C snow line can bring a sled to market that can lay down snow as the sled goes (joking)
  9. In my opinion the trigger has to be pulled before the next model year and A/C does not miss a season, I think that would be devastating. Here's hoping this process moves real quick.
  10. Imagine the size of the the cart to get one of those out of the store
  11. 100 new sleds a year isn't keeping anybody in business. 90% of Ontarians, the largest Canadian segment of snowmobiling has little snow, lot's of cold but little snow. Less than 1200 miles open with much of that white dirt. Keep trying though, it's good for shits and giggles
  12. Probably purchases the latch (don't know for sure), but it is Poo's responsibility to provide technical specs and then QC the product when it arrives, regardless of point of origin
  13. Will BRP be building these models ? Read an article the other day where the CEO claimed their sled business is down 17 %, seems they would have bandwidth to pick up production of Cat's 2026's. BTW I'd be shocked if Doo's sled business is down only 17%, this guy has stretched the truth before.
  14. I have being saying this for a while now (on the bold). Doo and Poo seemed to do alright during covid. They had product that was in demand. IMO the industry will continue to shrink because of these reasons and we could end up with one company building sleds. Read an article the other day where the CEO of BRP stated the sled business is hurting. Said that 60% of their customers finance. A year and a half ago I saw this same dipshit say that their product is not affected by the economy, it is in demand and interest rates would not affect them. Said his customers have discretionary money to spend on products like theirs. That statement bit him in the ass.
  15. I bet 900 more than a lot of folks, including me. Does starting the sled count for anything. It should for Poo folks if it doesn't blow up
  16. Update on ice thickness. Went form 7 inches of clear ice to 3 inches of now crusty ice. The ice looks like it does in early April just before going out. I give up
  17. Well here we are just a blip from 2025. No snow on the ground in south/central Ontario, ZERO trails open in all of Ontario and temps just above 0C or 32F for youz in the US. Have had some decent snow but followed up by warm and rain each time. Spin rinse and repeat for the past couple of years. 2022 XCR with a grand total of 1200 miles. Some cold in the forecast but doesn't appear as though much snow in that same forecast. Almost given up on trail riding for this year and just hoping for enough snow to ride the lakes. What company in it's right mind will buy Textron's snow division. Sorry guys, I hate to see the end of any mfr, but look at reality. The market is flooded with used and non current inventory, the costs of this sport are prohibitive in bringing in younger blood, the younger blood has a lot more entertainment at their disposal, the snow season is hit and miss at the best of times and more recently more miss than hit, the current crop of riders are aging with some dropping out due to age and this becomes more prevalent as each year goes by. The market is shrinking, so again why would anyone want to invest in a sled lineup. Even if share could be taken from Poo or Doo the market is still shrinking. Off to check the ice thickness after 3 days of warm and rain.
  18. Poo and BRP will not be buying AC. They have their own problems with few buyers for their shit. Especially with the bulging warehouses of non currents. I know your post was sarcasm but couldn't resist
  19. Not might, will. These tariff are going to hit all three mfr's. I can guarantee you that none of these three will eat the added cost of doing business. All three will become more expensive.
  20. Tariffs will raise the price of the product, including Poo and BRP. That should help the industry
  21. 90 days would be a dream. Last year rode 3 days on trails and maybe 10 days on the lake. The lake I am on usually freezes early December and grows 2.5 to 3 feet of ice. Last year froze January 21 and 3 inches of clear ice and 5 inches of crust. Had my docks in third week of March. Today we have 2 inches of ice with little snow, 3 real cold days followed by 5 or 6 warm days. Looks like I'm done buying new sleds. Current ride should be good for at least the next 5 years and Poo by then may be out of the sled business as well.
  22. Pretty much sums it up. With the lousy winters, and on the small number of rides over the past few years i have had, noticed there are not many riders under the age of 40. Maybe it's where I ride but I think the Youngins have no interest nor the money to get into this sport.
  23. When they put the final nail into closure watch the stock price bounce up
  24. OR CLOSURE. While this season started off well it has rapidly gone into the dumpster. There are no trails open in Ontario even with the massive amounts of snow in some areas. While the temps look to be getting colder for the next 4 or 5 days not much snow in the forecast and another warm up after that. The local Doo dealer has boxes and boxes of new sleds and dozens of used sitting in their parking lot. What company in it's right mind wants to take on vehicles requiring cold temperatures and snow. Three years in a row of unkind winter conditions. Call me the pessimist
  25. NO doubt about anything you said, not arguing that. Just stating what I feel to be the obvious. Some lawyer is aware of past issues and the door did unlatch or maybe didn't and a judge would be favorable regardless of the cause. Not sure how many successful lawsuits it will take poo to smarten up. Based on my second last purchase the quality issue is starting to annoy me.
