  1. I quoted our president. Bummer for you. Poor AC. Poor flock. Are we cluing in yet? How many lives were saved. Bla bla bla bla bla repeat repeat repeat.
  2. To differentiate the various forms of government financial burdens. No different than separating income tax from sales tax. They’re all forms of taxation that generate revenue for the government.
  3. Let’s deport arguably the smartest, most inventive man alive because he doesn’t like Trump’s deficit bill. Because that’s how America should work.
  4. They’re the same thing; a financial charge imposed by the government. You don’t smoke, therefore there is no tobacco tax.
  5. And for the slow people, a duty is a tax. Are you saying there’s no tax on cigarettes because I don’t buy those products? Or because MN tobacco tax is double that of IA, it’s actually not a tax because I don’t have to buy tobacco in MN? The “you don’t have to buy it logic” is off the charts.
  6. Viper, we’re on the same page. Increase taxes.
  7. Same thing I say about my property taxes on a yearly basis; up that shit, get many more $ into the government. Gas tax? Add another $0.25, Viper and I won’t notice. And if WE don’t notice it, that’s allll that matters, essentially magic. 😉
  8. It’s Magic!
  9. Guess you would have had to have known about it, has been all over in the business news. Paramount wanted to be done with this quickly as it’s merger hung in the balance. Surprise.
  10. “It’s not a tax!” “Tax is a narrative!” It’s in the fucking definition, also known as import tax.
  11. The president said 100M, which is tremendous, wouldn’t you agree? How’s your dementia today? Taken your pills yet?
  12. Definitions are tough to grapple with.
  13. Gotta pay to play when you’ve got a multi billion dollar merger that the FCC needs to approve.
  14. Exactly, you answered your own question again.
  15. I don’t recall ‘liberation day’ taxes during his first term, democrat.
  16. True Democrat at heart. ❤️
  17. That’s true, you’ve been consistent in your contradictions. They’re not a tax, but you’re willing to pay the tax. Got it.
  18. Nothing, you answered it just as I called it.
  19. Of course!
  20. Sorry about your hobby. Let me guess, it’ll change from ‘not at all’ to ‘no big deal’. Shannon Brinkley, owner of Houston Cheap Fireworks, has been in the firework business for 24 years with 12 locations across the area. He said the tariffs have become cost-prohibitive for his business and the industry as a whole. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/trending/article/houston-fireworks-stands-tariffs-20395318.php
  21. Shutting down a parade…. What a great thing to threaten.
  22. I’m not sure what’s your allegiance is to H2A in its current form or why’d you be against improving it. I think most here can be honest that our current system is inefficient, at best, and can be improved upon. Why you want to argue about the details is beyond me.
  23. Yes, although it’s criticized for being complex, slow, and costly. What’s wrong with immigration reform? What’s wrong with making things more efficient? There’s a whole Farm Modernization Act bill being proposed (bipartisan) aimed at tackling some of these criticisms. “Nooo! Everything’s fine just the way it is!!!” You shouldn’t.
  24. Pickup what tab? We can impose as many cost barriers as we want, but why would we. Make it easy for them to come work, legally, and then go back.
  25. Sure, the revenue is just magically appearing.
