  1. I'll take the bait. Does EPA dyno these or are they manufacturer provided #'s? By all accounts the new polaris boost absolutly rips and the feedback I've heard is that its a step above the doo turbo power wise which would make sense with the doo now upping power for MY23. Maybe polaris is more efficient getting the power to the ground?
  2. Aren't there atvs just rebranded kymcos? Just like all of cats current lineup 500cc and less?
  3. Except ramstad said in another thread a week or so ago cat can only build half the sleds a day that they could a few yrs ago and they are looking to hire 500 more workers in order to get back to that capacity. He also said since cat can't sell that many sleds to their own dealers its good they now make sleds for doo to help keep the plant running
  4. I feel bad for old Jim. His situation here is similar to biden. Totally clueless, thinks he knows what's what, has no idea he's an idiot and or has dementia, talks out if his ass and actually thinks he has validity. Very sad deal, his family/friends should intervene.
  5. Cat needs to just update the marketing material from the 2012 launch a bit, send it via USPS to the few hundred loyal customers and handful of dealers they have, then sit back and collect cash like nobodys business. They could pre print stacks of order forms to have on hand at the dealerships too for the ultimate experience in pre order ease.
  6. If they do that and maybe a trick tunnel solution with accessories like linq or lock and ride flex its game over for doo.
  7. Cat must be laughing their asses off about now. With the mediocre at best product launch poo and doo just had, cat won't even need to do anything other than build last years sleds and they will be pulling new buyers from those other 2 brands.
  8. He'll think his vat branded Garmin is the best until cat comes out with a new gauge to compete with doo/pool's then all he'll talk about is how better it is, blah, blah, blah. There's brand loyal but ramstad takes it to a new level. They could produce a literal bag of shit and he'd order 3 then tell everyone it's worth the wait to get his because they fit his exact needs and desires.
  9. Textron bought weber and used a variation of that engine in the stampede and havoc sxs's which have since died off. Maybe we will see another variation of it come back in a cat sled or sxs in the future?
  10. Swissauto and weber are 2 different companies. https://www.swissauto.com/e/motor/projekt_detail.jsp?ID_Display=20000G
  11. Except textron bought weber and a variation of that engine found its way into the stampede and havoc sxs's. The motor was designed in conjunction with polaris for use in their watercraft. Never was in a car.
  12. Bolting shocks or other small items on isn't rocket science bud. I'd trust alot of 16yr olds that have enough interest in powersports to go get a job at a dealership over many many 20,30 and 40 something yr olds that are just at a job to pay their bills.
  13. They way I understand it alot of the dealers are happy to have to work bolting on shocks, installing gauges etc. Its profitable for them to do this and with very few dealer stock units its helping offset the profit lost. Most machines they get in are presold so they aren't getting the same margins from floor stocked units. So for some dealers its helping their bottom line. Cat should consider the health of their dealer base going forward
  14. You're the one arguing sales and production volumes while not seeing the irony in cat clearly wanting to build more volume so much that they are building youth doos instead of more youth cats or even full size cats. Maybe their just really generous like that tho...
  15. Numbers don't matter to cat folk as they make up their own. Any talks of intelligence from you is hysterical at best.
  16. Care to share your sources for these volume numbers and production schedules? Cats dealers hurt from cat building competitive machines and not cat branded machines.
  17. Maybe this is all over your head. But regardless of how many sleds produced a lesser amount going forward are branded cat..meaning cat dealers don't sell them...meaning less sales for them. Record powersports sales volumes across all brands and you're saying cats production dropped from 350/day to 100-150/day! Doo/poo are in the position they are in due to parts availability issues driven by demand, meaning producing more volume than planned. Not due to less volume than they used to have.
  18. So basically you are saying cat doesn't have the sales to produce 350 a day for their dealers like they used so they wanna get back to that number by building for the competition. Their dealers are loosing out on sales plain and simple.
  19. Regardless of the supply chain issues, Cat is giving up production capacity of higher margin full size sleds in order to produce low margin sleds for the competition. They can only build xx amount of sleds total a year and now a smaller percentage of that volume benefits their dealers whether it be sales on a higher volume of cat branded youth sleds or full size cat sleds.
  20. Only a select few people could turn Cat using their production capacity to build cheap low margin youth products for the competition instead of building more higher margin full size product into a postive. And of that select few only a couple would still defend that business decision while still waiting for their 2022 to bet built....
  21. He's so full of shit and himself. Hes the guy in town that people will roll there eyes and nod there head when he starts babbling on. The recent club ride pics show how much cat dominance there is in his area.
  22. Too bad cat decided to focus on screwing their dealers and customers over by building the competition sleds. They could have built more 120s and 200s for their dealers to sell and make a profit on. Or better yet, took the volume of 120s and 200s built for others and instead used the production capacity to build 6 and 800s...I bet alot of guys waiting for their 2022 cat would prefer to have that then knowing the factory decided to build kids sleds for doo. The horrible business decisions from the cat era continue into the textron era
  23. Great. Cat can't build 600s and 800s before winters end but they will gladly build more entry level sleds for the competition. I bet alot of cat guys awaiting their spring order are thrilled.
  24. Is it true Kirk Hibbert is turning wrenches for Selby? If true, that says alot!
