If the event was lake racing and 8 out of 11 were Turbo 4 strokes and the top 3 were all 998's, it wouldn't surprise anyone nor would it be anything to gloat about. There is no competition. Now that Catalyst is out, there will be some competition next year with the 860 Turbo is complete. But nothing really to take from this event, it doesn't really mean anything at all. This year especially doesn't mean dick in terms of competition, with some single machine, cobbed Catalyst setup to compete. You can throw that right out the window, once the playing field is even the event will actually matter. Does anyone have a list of the entire field and how many sleds of each brand competed? I'm guessing its 75% Polaris? Those sleds are modded to the hills and not even close to being stock, once someone on a final production big bore Catalyst has the same power and tweaks to the chassis the competition does, it will be down to the rider.

That wasn't a finalized product, it was a custom mod. There is no official big bore Catalyst yet.

If the Polaris did this well, just imagine how well a Catalyst mountain sled will do with the same power. Going to be interesting as the years go on.

Congrats to Polaris for winning an event where only they compete! lol. In an actual real world Mountain, the Alpha with an 800 beat all the 850's. That chassis, while old as shit now, is still great for pointing up a pre-configured hill no doubt. It's not the best trail chassis anymore, its not the best handling or best flatlander, but when it comes up blasting up a modified hill, it still does great. If there is a 860 Catalyst twin rail Mountain sled you will see a new winner next year. But for now, congrats to them.
