  1. My general investment strategy is doing better than the average. Plenty read this early and will come out extremely well if they time the bottom closely. This year is gonna hurt for sure but with how well things had been going market wise and hopefully a strong rebound will make it much less painful even rewarding.
  2. In some ways it does. Some investors will come out of this better than others including those that hold the course of which he's ALWAYS been a proponent on here. Seems you took it a bit too far or personal. My assessment of who all are the successful business owners on here has to put you right near or at the top. I didn't just come to think that for no reason and again I don't feel you are a bragger at all.
  3. SMH. Go back to complaining about MMCC while producing Styrofoam.
  4. Can you show me where he is talking specific dollar figures? What's the big deal about being confident in your investment strategy? Are you not confident in your business strategy. Sure seems like it on here and I don't feel that's bragging at all.
  5. Honestly Anler I don't feel he brags that much at all. He does a bit about some % gains but I don't recall him giving many $ figures on here at all. You did once but I don't consider you a bragger by any means either.
  6. Boeing looks to be in really bad shape. I'm guessing most on others on the list you posted are as well. I'm just making a comment on debt/ebita isn't always a great way to analyze a company. I have large customers that make me fill out financial stability survey's every year. That question is never on them.
  7. The snowball effect to many portions of the economy is troublesome. Lets hope we start to hear some good news medically about the virus by next weeks end.
  8. Keep in mind this is not calculating any cash reserves or other short term liquid assets. This formula simply takes into account long term debt+ short term debt and ability to pay it off with normal operations. (EBITA). Not saying that don't put some of these companies in tough financial situations but a larger picture needs to be assessed. Ford in November had $37 billion in Cash Reserves alone not counting other ST investments. Boeing over $10 billion.
  9. Thats unreal for a Wednesday morning. Unreal.
  10. And that's the last sentence in the article.
  11. I got friends and family that have told me "Your place is the Alamo.....I'm coming there when shit hits the fan."
  12. Nice headline FoxNews. Might.
  13. While we don't have a grasp on COVID19's actual death rate early indications is its much more deadly than 2009's H1N1. 12,450 ish died but 61 million American's were suspected of being infected. That's a pretty low death rate in comparison to what we think this one is. I've said before I'm torn on this one. Part of me says we are completely overreacting and parts of me says we are not. Without question its tricky. Its not just the loss of life from the virus but the loss of life from regular, treatable situations that might have to be turned away because the HC system is completely overwhelmed with COVID19 cases. Hopefully some lessons are learned coming out of this one.
  14. Make flying more miserable than it is now. I hope that isn't what happens. I think that is going too far on a regular basis.
  15. Doesn't work or is not enough. Not everyone gets a fever and those that do it may be multiple days before the fever shows up. How many people have then infected more and those people infected and so on and so forth. On top of that you have normal seasonal illness' that cause a fever that you can't shut the country down for. Need to stop it at its source. Least amount of social and economic impact on the country. The other option for one like this is put it on the more vulnerable to stay isolated and let it run its course. Like the seasonal flu. I don't see this country accepting that option and for a really bad one it wouldn't work anyway.
  16. Two pathetically equal things here. Anyone targeting others with with dislikes and those that care enough to post about it.
  17. Generally a much higher percentage in private schools and no they don't have to be high cost ones.
  18. This is unprecedented and its impact on our country will call for much stricter measures the next one. Immediately upon even the slightest recognition of a deadly virus in a foreign country all travel to (unless they are not US citizens and going home) and from must be stopped completely. Every US citizen there who wishes to come home should be quarantined in place or at designated centers in the US and our CDC people go and prove 100% they are not infectious before being allowed to come home. Self quarantine is a joke when it only takes one person to spread something like this rapidly around the world.
  19. Some of my employee's are livid with the local school district. School closed for the next 4 weeks minimum and likely the remainder of the year but will not in any way shape or form try to school from home. Reason....schools are concerned the gap will widen between kids. I think this is fucking insane. The gap widens every single day with or without school when parents neglect their kids education. Its not the parents fault to who ensure the kids are doing the work and putting the effort in to learn a the correct level. Punish everyone mentality is fucking stupid.
  20. Yep. They will top 9/11 and the jfk assassination combined.
