  1. What I find so interesting about that, is that Yamaha is truly a world-class engineering and build company. Look at some of the bikes they've built, current R-bikes, etc. Astounding performers, purposeful, excellent build quality, and some smart design stuff. Why is it that their snowmobiles are always a tad eccentric, different enough to alienate mainstream buyers, etc.? Not knocking them at all, but when it comes to sleds, some of their stuff is questionable. Like the time the rep at the sled show tried to explain what that shock absorber was doing attached to the rear bumper..... poor bastard..... lol
  2. Lol. One day perhaps...... still whip yo' ass in the meantime.
  3. Obviously, they only break when ridden aggressively. You're still at Fusion-level.
  4. As Poncho says, those numbers are meaningless unless you run them at the same time. Stock Mach Zs were well into the 120s, but you have to compare them at the same time to other sleds regardless. The Spinegrinders seem to perform well; I haven't ridden one to see how it handles..... I thought guys liked those chassis?
  5. All sleds blow belts now and then..... that's somewhat easier to fix trail-side than a busted crankshaft. JB Weld, anyone?
  6. And do you know when Doo started designing their 850? I know the Poo engine is an older design; it uses an induction system from the last century. I was referring to their market timing, not the actual engine. Don't get your Poo panties all in a bunch. Anyway, hopefully their new 850 works well, and the crankshafts don't snap like on their 800s.
  7. So, for 7 years.... they were "fine tuning it", but they copied an entire 850 engine in only 2 years? Ummmmh.... no. I think they were hedging on the Rush. And we all know how that worked out.....
  8. No, but I certainly wouldn't add louder exhaust to them to make them sound faster..... I know kids like this new fart can stuff, but there's still no replacement...... for displacement. And they still sound like Van Wilder's golf cart. I am getting old..... lol
  9. My ol' Yukon King handles just as well as that new fad stuff.....
  10. There's a 1959 Doo hidden in the Valcourt museum warehouse with factory working IFS. I guess they thought it was unnecessary at the time for the 8hp muscle sleds.....
  11. Poo is still second, Cat and Yamaha are behind Poo. I'd say Yamaha's days are numbered in the sled industry. https://www.snowtech...aha-return-srx/ "So, for 2019 Yamaha is going to do something that takes great discipline. Instead of adding more and more aggressive incentives to clear units, which costs the OEM significantly, they are cutting production – significantly. This also costs the OEM but is better for the dealer network and customers as far as resale. For 2019 Yamaha is not only cutting the total number of units being built, they will only be offering 12 models vs. their 34 models last year. 5 of the 12 models for 2019 are spring-order only, leaving us with only SEVEN stocking models for 2019. There will be no Japanese-made models (Vector, Venture, Viking, Phazer) except the VK 540 two-stroke work sled."
  12. I'm sure it is fun, but who needs to hear a little 4 banger? (No offence.) That would be like putting through-hull exhaust on a Merc 3.0. I'd rather hear the stereo!
  13. Anything's possible..... Wonder why they never brought it to market?
  14. Why would a Focus need engine noises in the cabin?
  15. I heard SG got in shit for revealing the 2019 Doos before BRP did.... lol
  16. Yep, 850cc with an R-Motion copy skid. "Class Leading Durability". 15 year old SDI tech...... See, Polaris is innovative..... Looks like the Rush's days are numbered....
  17. That's what we used to say about automatics in sports cars. Now, the automatics are so good (better than most drivers), every exotic specs them, usually with quicker acceleration times..... But, the 100 km range is a bit ghey.
  18. Looks more like Failmaker's old suckling shots.....
  19. $15,000 usd for a one hour range...... should sell well. No fumes would be nice though.....
  20. Lol..... uncle snotty made his way all the way over here. I guess the post about him putting up a picture of himself wearing his Lululemons really got to him.
  21. Good thing they manufactured more than one relay, and one fuse.
  22. Yes, where is our mouthy little expert of all things?
  23. Good for him! I can just imagine the conversations with the race officials...... "Listen you fucking little asshole..... "
