Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted March 23, 2017 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted March 23, 2017 Not sure why this is a bad thing for America. Show's people that regardless of party are willing to try and make better legislation. The dems could learn a thing or two from this.

Seven years of complaining and countless repeal votes and they have this trainwreck on there hands today, the POTUS personally lobbied conservative legislators to pass this TODAY. Paul Ryan essentially wrote a bill that was his narrow view of healthcare, but how do the Republicans change it in fashion that will appeal to the Freedom Caucus, moderate republicans, and GOP governors? f7ben
The bottom line is the ACA fucked us worse than any legislation in history .......if the republicans thought this was gonna be easy to fix well then they were dumber than the dems that started the whole mess. This stupid bill the R's are floating is as bad as the ACA .....these fucking idiots just need to repeal the ACA and go back to what we had before. Then they can throw the word "comprehensive" out of washington and focus on making small common sense changes

I can at least respect Trump for working hard to follow thru on his campaign promises. He has probably talked to congress more in the last month than Obama did in 8 years. He was too busy having meeting with the IRS and whoever else he could to try and stick it to conservatives instead of leading.

The ACA is pure shit from every perspective. Repeal it and then start over working on individual issue fixes. That is my position ......my perfect scenario would be UHC is implemented by a team of 100 non corporate , non politician experts.

I agree with your overall fix though. until we get the huge profit incentives out of healthcare we'll always be fucked. bussman
The plan was for Obamacare to fail in the first place. Then Hillary would ride in on her socialist white horse, funded by the insurance lobby and big pharma so she could implement what her and her husband failed to enact in the 90's. Guaranteed rates with government control. Trump winning the election fucked this all up as republicans are in on it too but can't show their hand. Trump, Rand Paul and a handful of others are the only ones not bought off. Trump is out of his league and alone on and island on this one.
