Happy Now? (ACA vote)

Recommended Posts

All you dems on here complaining about the GOP not voting to repeal the ACA, are you happy now?

Senate Republicans voted Tuesday to open debate on repealing Obamacare, dramatically reviving an effort that many GOP lawmakers left for dead just a few days ago.

The vote is a huge political win and turnaround for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republicans who've promised for seven years to repeal Obamacare if voters gave them control of Congress and the White House.

The didnt repeal anything. The opened debate only. Its a huge fail. The more time this cooks the more time constituents get to contact their senators and reps to tell them vote NO

Only 17% of Americans support the repeal

Hey the Repubs could pass whatever they want right now.  They have the House, Senate and Presidency and all Trump can do is whine about Hillary on Twitter while the dumbfucks in the House and Congress fuck up one healthcare bill after another.

It's not their fault I guess.  They've only had 7 years to put their money where their mouth is and come up with something better.

Oh look, it's the same narrative that you were told to say from last time.

You look real dumb with your 'narrative' talk as you spew the right wing rhetoric.  Now show us the goods bro :snack:

For the most part yes.  Besides, any worthwhile legislative work they would have accomplished in those 7 years crafting their version of a health care bill would have been carried forward by committee until such time they could enact it when they had control of government.

What happened?

Go look it up.  Maybe they don't all agree with what should be done, but keep with the narrative.

BTW, how will you be effected in Canada?  LOL

Remember this from November 2016.  Just a few people seem to like what the R's are doing.:ashamed:

When it comes to control of state government, Republicans dominated at record levels during the Obama years. On Tuesday, they somehow managed to become even more dominant.

In part because Americans like a check and balance on their president, in part because Republicans played their cards right, Republicans grabbed more of America's statehouses and governor's mansions during the Obama administration than at any time in the modern era. And they held onto those majorities Tuesday.

Results are still trickling in, but it looks like Republicans will still control an all-time high 69 of 99 state legislative chambers. They'll hold at least 33 governorships, tying a 94-year-old record.

That means that come 2017, they'll have total control of government in at least 25 states, and partial control in 20 states. According to population calculations by the conservative group Americans for Tax Reform, that translates to roughly 80 percent of the population living in a state either all or partially controlled by Republicans.
