Their oil production is nationalized and can literally say we want to pump an extra million barrels, even at a loss, to drive prices down to squeeze for profit producers. The US can’t do that. We don’t have nationalized oil fields. We can incentive producers through policy which over time can increase production, but then there’s the Saudi Arabia’s of the world who create risk. For profit companies don’t like risk, so they take a more measured/cautious approach. Yeah it is amazing the ignorance, isn’t it. The claim is that they can, but the US can't. That is the ignorance that I am talking about.

No, we can’t flood the oil market like the Saudis can. By definition, flooding means quickly. And for a real world example, there’s a reason why in the summer of 2022 Biden requested (and failed) to get the SAUDIS to increase oil production to help lower prices at the pump. If we had the ability to increase oil quickly, he wouldn’t have had to travel half way around the world to humiliate himself with the request. FFS, again who convinced you of this? Yeah, to lower gas prices and help ease inflation. The summer of 2022 convinced me of this. Are you denying it happened? Why didn’t Biden just ask US producers to increase?

Again, who convinced you of this? unless we have refining capacity we do not have the ability to immediately effect prices. we have an infrastructure issue when it comes to refining that prob will never be fixed as the government regs won't allow it to be so until then we
