Michigan School District Sued For Switching Child’s Name, Pronouns Without Parental Consent

Who’s hiding what?  Do you expect the school to reach out and let you know the pronouns used for your son are him/he?  If the parents don’t know then there are much more complex issues to deal with than the shiny object in the OP.  Students do have some level of autonomy while at school and in their care.  There are issues counselors and therapists do not share with anyone - including the parents.

I 100% do, they are in possession of my child and should communicate anything going on with them..I get a phone call if they would like to give my child a Tylenol or ibuprofen, a sprained pinky finger, a bloody nose..I'd think a mental disorder going on is way more important than a fucking Advil, you'd have to be a stump not to agree with that..

Sure, but the policy shouldn’t bar the parents from knowing what is going on.  If they disagree with the school policy it should be dealt with like any other BOE policy contention.

The hiding of the name/pronouns is what is the problem here.
