It's a plott hound used for bear hunting, has a gps tracking collar on too. Probly chased the bear in there and wouldn't/couldn't get out. Both were probably tired and that's what changed the outcome. If the dog was biting the bear or being aggressive in a tight area like that it wouldn't end well for the dog.
