Mag6240 Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 (edited) If you are one of the guys rolling up higher miles, approaching or over 10k, and are doing fall maintenance, opening the chain case, just replace that upper bearing in the cover. Two of mine are over 10k, and that bearing was toast. Its a smaller bearing, with its own oil seal you will need to replace with the bearing. I know a few others have seen them go sooner, just an FYI if you have one. Take the time to replace it early. Those are small bearings that take a beating. In the cover those should just pound out I would think, but I have a press if you need it.
