Yup. Their plan is to have the state control it and sell it at their state liquor stores.

State liquor stores....now that's freedom.

They even have them right on the turnpike when you enter and leave the state

They do seem to be cheaper than the neighboring states.

Iowa controls distribution but they have totally opened up who gets a license.  Even small convenience stores carry booze now.

Wonder in the state run stores how much they track what you buy if you purchase by CC?

I think NH is now all State Liquor stores now. The last privately owned store that was acting as an agent for the state changed hands a few years ago. The state took that opportunity to not issue the new owners a license.

MC or some of the other NH guys can correct me if I am wrong... I think neighboring states have been known to watch the liquor stores on the border to see who might be trying to bring illegal booze back into their state.

We have some of that with Illinois especially without the can deposit on beer/pop but I think the booze tends to be a bit cheaper there as well.

Iowa had state owned liquor stores but ended it in 1987.   I remember having a gov teacher in HS that worked at the state liquor store and he would talk about the people who came in the most and what and how much they bought.  Always thought that was kind of a dick move as he even made fun out of some kids for how much their parents came in.  Any guess which party he hardcore supported?

Seen him go ape shit on a kid who told the joke why aren't the Kennedy's any good at boxing?   Because they can't take a shot to the head.

They did that for a while for liquor and fireworks. The masses were too much to stop.

" we are selling booze, we are making money , what can I do to stop it ? "
