You are correct that leds last a long time the problem is if you cycle the bulbs off and on a lot many of these manufactures you cheap drivers and they burn out far quicker then the led. I have incadescent that have lasted more then 30 years.

Toilets 1.5 gal per flush, faucets, 1.5 gpm, tub & shower 1.5 gpm..... Lawn sprinklers residential or commercial I've never heard of any water saving or limits on them. JMO they should have left the toilets alone at 3 gal per flush and designed a toilet that had 2 handles, #1 handle for pee 1.5 gpf and #2 handle for Poop - 3 gpf.............. Mass started a reg last yr that all spray heads have to be regulated at 45 psi. Great for city water where some cities have 85-100 psi . For wells it is a waste of money as 95% of wells have a pressure switch that is set to 40-60 meaning it turns the pump on at 40 and shuts off when it hits 60. Take the 60 , by the time it goes thru a backflow preventor , half a dozen elbows and tee's and it is already at 45 . And the heads cost twice as much as a non regulating head. Code for city water here is anything over 80 psi has to have a regulator on it, most set the pressure at 65 psi. The city also has step down regulators around here on their main lines because the pressure is at or over 300 psi which knocks the city pressure down to around 150 psi. Some areas the plumbers install 2 pressure regulators in homes or businesses to step down the pressure. Having that much pressure coming in plus add in a backflow preventer and a pressure reducing valve the plumbing code also requires a thermal expansion tank to be placed on the cold water line inside the home or business, most install them close to the water heater. Between the high pressure coming in an the backflow preventers the temperature/ pressure relief valves on water heats start dripping or running so the expansion tank eliminates that issue. Match the air pressure in the expansion tank to what the water pressure is set inside the home after the pressure regulator, house pressure 65 psi fill the expansion tank to 65 psi. Most people do not set or adjust the air pressure in the expansion tank and the expansion tanks fail prematurely. Most thermal expansion tanks come pre-charged @ 40 psi you're suppose the set the air pressure in the tank before it's installed or turn the water off and relieve the water pressure from the by opening a faucet.
