Gas contributes to emissions, nuclear is a nimby no go, hydro has environmental issues.

None of those are going to change anything.

This thread isn’t about hippy dippy save the planet ra ra ra.  We’re petrol heads.  This thread is all about how we can get JT less expensive fuel to power his inefficiently hulled lake tractor to whatever eateries remain after the wrath of Whitler and still have money left over to dine there.  To that end, I say converting as much of our transportation sector to electric as possible, lowering demand for petrol is a great start.  Go be hippy somewhere else.

Natural gas, nuclear, and hydro come to mind.  Not to mention Musk’s systems.

Great, Nuclear would be a great energy source for the US, but again, the US isn't building them like other less developed countries

Under trump, gas was between 2 and 3 dollars a gallon.  Do you actually think biden will be able to say the same?

IMO what we have seen here is a normalization of a market that was artificially low because of covid.  I don't believe that prices would have been significantly lower if trump was in office given the restart of the economy.   We will see what Bidens policies bring over the next 2 years,  they are so bad in so many different ways it's going to be hard to tell which one fucks us.

Ok, say you are correct, pandemic caused lower gas prices and now it is getting back to pre covid levels,  Normalization. Sure.

Now, what about the prices of building materials?  Is that normalization as well?

there is a lot of greed in there and was happening before Joe took office.  Building materials over the course of the last 12 months have seen some of their biggest increases ever and 9 months of that was with don in office.

Low output do to covid, large demand due to low interest rates, people willing to pay and companies willing to charge high prices to people who are willing to pay.

biden policies are causing the price of gas to go higher than just normalization.

Yes, the price of gas was dropping before the election, because of the election.

Bullshit, prices went up under Trump compared to 2015 and 2016 despite tax cuts and deregulation. Regular is now 2.99 here nearly the same as 2018.  Companies are rebounding from the losses they took during the shut downs.

No, low demand, the reason Trump pressured SA to cut production.

Biden was favored to win before the election.  Trump predicted a drop in the stock market if he lost, it didn't was that because of Biden's policies.

And what about the 4 years before that?  3 to 4 dollars a gallon.  And that will be the same with biden.  Keep this prediction at the front of your cerebral cortex.

Yes and then they went down, with the same president in charge, then went up when the president changed.

greater than 3 dollars a gallon is NOT NORMAL.  Look at the chart.  It was only normal under obama and his policies.  biden is just another obama.

Obama was president during 2015 and 2016 when gas prices were lower than anytime during Trump's term prior to the pandemic, that is a fact.

Wind, solar, NG. fired generation plants, and electric cars all help curb demand for oil.

I have not had a 100 buck gas bill in over 4 years.  I posted gas receipts some time back . It will be pushing 5 bucks before Joe is out of office in 3 yrs

Obama and the dem policies have caused gas to be over 3 dollars a gallon.  The price of gas was never that high for that long before obama got into office.  Trump got in and kept the price under 3 dollars a gallon for 4 years.  Now, back to a dem and that price will again rise to over 3 dollars, maybe more.

BUT 2015 and 2016?  But normalization, but but but.... Give it a rest.  Admit that dem policies will drive gas prices over 3 dollars a gallon.

Every time I think you can't possibly be as stupid as your posts here make you seem, you prove me wrong.   Ever hear of "peak oil"? Look back at what gas prices were before the economic crash.

Biden will push gas prices over 3 dollars a gallon for most of the time he is in office, just like obama did.  Hell, obama admitted that with the policies he pushed, energy prices will necessarily RISE.  They know it, I know it, and you know it.  Stop believing the excuses, because that's all they are is excuses.
