LA Times Multi-part series on China

This has been some pretty good journalism so far.  The rise of China and their more aggressive actions are starting to become a real problem.  Much of this has increased under team Trump, but it's sure to be even more unchecked under team Biden.  The actions of the Chinese Navy in the South China Sea are especially troubling for her smaller, poorer neighbors.  It's only a matter of time before they start seizing territories by force.

Not "starting" to become a real problem. they are buying up the entire world. I dont know why this isnt the most talked about subject in the news. We occupy the entire world militarily but they occupy the entire world economically. We are going broke and they are building a global empire. Perhaps its not an accident.

A hot war with American forces wouldn’t last too long. They know this. The risk of course it the economical fallout for both countries and the possibility of things going nuclear. China’s biggest enemy over the centuries has been China. Xi has basically attempted to create a cult imagery around himself. He has plenty of enemies within China that are willing to pounce at any moment. The military in China isn’t as well insulated from internal differences and strife like it is here and the other more mature democracies of the west. So the internal problems Withings China are multifaceted. Xi does have a tendency to create drama with other countries when his own natives are restless. The recent issue with India is a good example.
