The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office is asking all volunteers looking to help search for the missing 3 year old in Winter to register at the Winter ball park at the intersection of Park and Grove. At this time we do have an influx of volunteers.

Authorities in Sawyer County are searching for a missing 3-year-old.  According to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, a search is underway near Old 70 Road in Winter, Wisconsin.

Police are asking the public to check their properties and out-buildings for any sign of the child.  If anyone has trail cameras, they are asked to check them as well.

There is currently a number of volunteers helping in the search. If you are interested, the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office is asking you to go to the baseball field at Park Street and Grove Street in Winter for additional information.

I believe they just found her, extremely dehydrated, they shut down the roads and only family and Medics allowed, I do believe she's alive.

Check social media in about an hour for more details.

Thank God!!

Indeed!! My heart sank when I first saw your post.

That little girl is probably down a pint or two a blood seeing the bugs had her for 24 hours, but she's alive and that's all that counts!!!

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office says a 3-year-old girl suffered only minor injuries while spending 24 hours lost in the woods.

Abigail Ladwig got lost when she followed the family dog, Peanut, into the woods at about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities and hundreds of volunteers searched for the girl on Monday in the area of Old 70 Road in the Winter area.

The search ended when Abigail and Peanut walked out of the woods and into a neighbor's yard at about 7:20 p.m. Monday.

Sheriff Doug Mrotek issued a news release Tuesday saying that Abigail sustained minor scratches, insect bites, and dehydration. She received medical treatment at a hospital and was released.

Mrotek thanked those who helped in the search.
