I find NCL is a step above so I prefer to not hear screaming children on the boat actually it's not, there had literally not been any issues that week for a long time on the route we were on even though it's the last week of hurricane season. We always vacationed that week before kids, it was an off time for work so i could escape with no income loss. Parents did an NCL cruise from Copenhagen last summer, they loved it and did countries no one really does. Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Germany and a couple others. Only two cruise lines I would go on are Celebrity or Norwegian. All the others would be like if Walmart owned a cruise company. Always a good time. Viking is superior to either of those. Royal Caribbean is equal to.

Even being a combustible ginger i like beaches and the beach where we were at wasn't swimable. Why not?

Noisy, cheap and the regular food was frozen diners at best. We paid for the upgrade on the ship as I wasn't going to eat the regular food all week and that upgrade was very good. I usually do a few nights at the other higher end restaurants and I never have dinner at the buffet . I suck them up for lunch because the wife and kids like to graze. My parents have done just about every cruise line there is from Seabourn to the megaships and find the RCL and NCL is the best value. She would always refuse to book us on a carnival because they are so white trash.

Never been on Carnival, but haven't heard great things. I"ve been on 8-9 cruises. My folks have been on over 90, and all over the world. Ma likes Princess and VIking the best, but RC is always good too. Last one we went on was Oasis of the Seas and that was pretty top notch. Hoping to earn one at work here one of these days, they have a nice Mediteranean cruise I'd love to do with the wife.

I was shocked he liked turkey, figured he'd be bitching about the dirtly mooslims.
