I saw three 850's this weekend and two were running ice scratchers. I used to run them on my 14 Indy 800, as it had a similar open tunnel to the 850's and a small sized snow flap. My new XCR no issue, I never saw more than 129F even on ice. The Rush/Axys/XCR chassis per design runs cooler with the closed in rear skid.
See the stud beside the loose one, it appears the one beside it is in safety, that is there appears to be two or so threads above the nut. I can't tell from the picture for sure but the others do not have any threads exposed. Any more pictures
There needs to be a minimum of 1 1/2 threads exposed above the fiber or steel locking part of the nut for the "locking" part to work. Maybe a complete retorque is required. Take it back to the dealer. Were they new nuts and are they the correct size for the stud. You can go on the stud manufacturers site for specifications.
Out again today, very warm, plenty of asshats riding the center of the trail. Anyway rode from my place to Calabogie, it felt like a mid-March ride. Unless it gets cold and more snow, it's done. 100 miles, no issues.
The XCR is getting close to being fully broken in. About 13 hours on it, need 18 hours for full break-in. Did a little WOT pull on the lake today 113 mph on the dream-o-meter. All trails south of my place in Griffith were green, rode to Cloyne and back about 120 miles.
Never mind Stevie....Colt sold. As my brother and I were heading east on Highway 7, just east of Peterborough I came up on a Ford truck with a sled in the box....sledding is a small world.....that is that little Colt on kijiji that was for sale. The old guy driving the truck seemed pretty happy. I kind of wished I grabbed it now......oh well only another billion to choose from.
