  1. Or actually get out and ride......
  2. the Elan luggage rack was a standard option for every school bus...they were no good as a snowmobile, so why not.
  3. Yep when Polarii are the only sled that worked people stepped up to the plate.
  4. The 4 days off from Kindergarten must have really set you back. Still taking the 15 minute sleep time?
  5. Easy with the last line....deeper penetration doesn't mean more results, having the nuts for it helps.
  6. Since when would the Puzzler do anything a Manufacturer recommend.....LOL......the recommended stud length is conservative. I always run a little more for that reason. In my 1200, with a 1 inch track, I ran 144 1.375". No pull outs, no breaks, about 10K no issue.
  7. That's because he uses it to aerate his lawn...
  8. incorrect... His issue was nut retention. In his case, which you can see in the picture, regardless of stud length, could have been avoided by having a dealer that knew what they were doing. A shorter fiber lock nut would have held that stud safety regardless of whatever stud length was installed.
  9. Shit you are back...problem was solved a week ago, I already made the point about the nuts and grip length issue.....go back to the basement Gimp
  10. I had a Glastron.....I forgot about that Textron alliance....
  11. Are they going to bring back the TX Series?
  12. Odot even you can see he didn't install the appropriate Ski doo skis....this could have been easily avoided had he done the change.....
  13. LOL...Rubbing is good. Attached is a reference to the drive shaft bearing lubrication task in the Poo owners manual, every 500 miles. This doesn't apply to all Poo's but some models have the fitting, my XCR does not. Other manufacturers require to do a lubrication task as well. Over the past 40 years I've had about four of those bearings fail. The one that failed on my 09 XP800 really surprised me, the machine was a year old.
  14. Exactly, most sledders just ride and do little or no maintenance or have little understanding of the mechanical requirements. FYI, don't grease until you see grease unless you are servicing suspension axle shafts or 1968 Ford Mustangs....lol The single bearing Steve6 is referring too is located on the axle. The cover shown in his picture might already have a grease fitting on it (my 14 Indy had a fitting) if it does I believe the servicing requirement was every 500 miles or so, with a caution not to over grease.. The dumb thing is, those are sealed bearing so greasing really does nothing..... My point was and the easy fix now that it is apart. Pop the seal in protected area so it can be easily serviced by grease.. Leave the exposed side sealed. It would be one grease fitting that would require grease every month or 500 miles....I could see why that would be a challenge for you.
  15. Roger Miller......Truetard.....the reason drugs shouldn't be legalized....lol
  16. For the record....who is "they say it's pointless".....your dealer??. The industry really pisses me off in this respect. I have not found a half decent sled mechanic since Al Knight at the Racers Edge.....shit that was 25 years ago. i do all of my own maintenance....no one cares or knows what they are doing anymore.....my soap box...Cheers
  17. Yes that's why the Northstar cover grease fitting is at the base which directs grease directly onto he bearing surface. Either way, unless the inner bearing seal is removed no greasing will help the issue. You can relocate the stock grease location to the base area and plug the original hole. I'm referring to the idler wheel bearings in the rear skid. Correct the Rush AXYS rears suspension points don't have grease ports, nor are they required. for the last couple of years when replacing any sealed bearing NTN, Timken, SKS I remove the seals flush the Chinese cheap shit bearing grease, repack with high quality grease, reinstall seals and then install them into the idlers.
  18. Well we would all like to do that....but in this day of safe sex greasing caution is required....
  19. Forgot to mention not to much grease because it fucks up the speedo wheel and sensor.
  20. For the record, it is hit and miss on that bearing. Including the shitty suspension bearings. I think the bearing suppliers are using Vasoline instead of high temp grease. I'm really doubting the bearing suppliers and I've toasted dozens on my Doo's and Poo's in the last 5 or 6 years. That axle bearing needs a grease fitting as well. Northstar Performance make a cover with a grease fitting on it for the Poo. You could tap a grease fitting into the existing housing you have now and before closing up the assembly remove the outer grease seal on the new bearing. Grease it every 500 miles or monthly.
  21. Is that a Poo lower axle bearing
