The original Sno Scoot's were never marketed as a kids sled. These were for adults to ride. It just never gained interest and was put to rest a few years later.

Can't remember but think the 250 Bravo might had been 24 hp ish. Unless you had the 251 Big Bore kit with a can......

What was the HP rating for the Yamaha SV 80?

A/C new small sled..... Have no info but think it's a step in the right direction.

I see a trend....... Thru the years. Just a look at the average sled used back then. 70's. 340 fan maybe 36 hp 80's. 340 L/C maybe 60 hp 90's. 500 L/C maybe 85 hp 00's. 600 L/C maybe 115 hp 10's. 800 L/C maybe 155 hp And now we are into turbo's hitting 200+ hp...... Where did all the 250,300,340,440 sleds go? I know most 14 yr old kids today would be embarrassed to ride anything below a 600. When Yamaha was #1 in sales it wasn't from selling SRX's. They sold boat loads of ET 250,300 and 340's

Should then be the responsibility of the ID race to have proper crowd control. Would hate to ride into that spot and have some clown put his hand on the back bumper and be disqualified for it.

So this guy or guys just happened to be standing at this refueling station. In the middle of Alaska with nothing better to do that day then burp this one team's sled? I don't buy that. These guys weren't part of the ID and this was the refueling station that they were to look after?

Were the refueling guys there to refill all the sleds. Or were these guys there to just refuel this one team? If they were ID refueling guy they should also know the rules.

I really haven't followed the ID race. But an ID official or possibly 2 of them should have been at this fuel stop to control any BS from non participants. I think the guys racing have their minds and hands full. They might not have time to do crowd control and stay focused on their main goal.

Most of us take a colouring book and have a hard if not impossible time staying inside the lines....... And you want us to stay on topic......

That will work.. The ET 340's had a copper sleeve that the throttle cable ran thru. As they grew take the sleeve off and cut it down. The sleeve height would stop the throttle. Each winter the boys made sure the sleeve height was smaller.

That's what it's all about... See too many people start their kids on full size sleds. In the back of my mind ( what's left of it ) I'm think NFW!!! Shit can happen real fast!!!! And I don't think many parents can run over 20 mph.... To catch a kid who's scared and won't let go of the throttle. My boy's started with Kitty cat/ Moto ski mini snow/ 440/488 fan indy/ 500L/C indy then Edge 600's

That is one hell of a collection!!!! Puzzler if you ever decide to take a tour of that place. You better give him some advanced notice...... The owner might want to take some precautions..... You might need wear a Hannibal Lector restraining device...... More so just to keep his sleds " Spotless " if you know what I mean....... Glad to see the owner also put a Blade in his collection. He must have good taste......
