  1. smoked pork chops and Tater tots. Me and the kid on our own for a month again.
  2. Same here. I can appreciate the 60's and 70's muscle cars but I don't relate to them as they were before my time. My high school (early 80's) parking lot was full of mid 70's econyboxes, Pinto's and Vegas. The fastest car in the lot was probably my buddy's 79 Z28 or a 74 Gremlin with a 401. Graphics packages were more important than performance.
  3. And the Trail Blazer Kit (mid height shield, tunnel bag, handlebar bag and Pro front bumper) adds another $1100 to the tag. Holy Crap....lol
  4. A Thundercat is $27500 CAD.
  5. My work in progress ‘79 SRX, just like dad had. I also have a ‘79 ET 300 just like my mom had.
  6. My 2. Both ‘78’s. F150 4x4 longbox and F100 shortbox.
  7. 73-75 F-250 79 was first year for a factory F350 4x4 from Ford.
  8. Logano, Bowman, Suarez No rubber on the track and cold weather. We should see plenty of blown right fronts again today. Tyler Reddick won the first 2 stages last year and looked unbeatable until he blew a tire.
  9. Crazy what people will pay for crewcabs. This Bronco was listed for sale last week for $249k. Coyote swap plus other up grades.
  10. Still have my Katana. Thought it was sold a year ago but the guy didn't like my price....lol I moved it to the shop today. Might do some work on it. But then I have lots of projects that need attention.
  11. I had a friend who drove a Jeep pick up in high school. It had some special package, rollbar, leather seats, built in CB. It was a cool truck. I just seen a J4000 yesterday 5 minutes from my house sitting outside a bodyshop. It was in tough shape though.
  12. Ya, you had to pay attention when riding those old Elans. They didn't steer worth a crap. My dad and his buddy Ross from down the street both bought the wives Elans when they came out. Ross told me one time that it was the stupidest thing he ever did. Put the wife on a sled that doesn't steer. He said she bitched all winter so he bought here a better sled the next season. As I said, the Elan stayed with us for 10 years. We also bought a '73 Elan 250 Twin (with the Silver Bullet pictured early) a few years later as an upgrade for my mom.
  13. I remember riding in it but we didn't have it long. My mom doesn't know where it went but I think it was sold to a neighbour. In 1970, mom got an Elan 250 single and I rode on the back. My sister rode with my dad. Wish there were more pics. We had sleds at the house from 1967 to 1984 I but don't remember the earlier ones. The little Elan we had for 10 years.
  14. My all time favorite pic. I've posted this several times. I'm told 1968, could be 69. My dad drinking a beer from a stubby. I'm in the caboose, not sure who the other kids are but my sister would only be 2 in spring of 1969. Pic taken on Lake Rosalind just outside of Hanover, On. A friend's cottage.
  15. Some how in the wrong thread though....lol Going to move it.
  16. Got a text from a friend last night. He plunked his money down on the 850 turbo yesterday. $26k plus plus.
  17. My parents stylin' in 1979. New SRX440 for dad and an ET300 for mom. New matching suits.
  18. My sister and I burning gas after school. I'm thinking around '78 or 79. The 2 sleds came from friends of my parents who got out of the sport.
  19. Only if you go with the Adrenaline/Enduro package.
  20. I've never been a boat guy but I've always appreciated the look of wood boats. Beautiful classic elegance. They are pieces of art.
  21. Ya, I need to have that chat. My son will be 30 next month. I’ve been putting it off.
