  1. Watched that last night, good thing they came up with a mod budget.
  2. I just hope history is not repeating itself. Fun sled untill the crank snapped, still have my 2001 Mountain cat with a 98 ZR 600 motor in it.
  3. I imagine BDX will come out with a similar tank for the Catalyst. http://www.bd-xtreme.com/index.php?id_product=98&controller=product http://www.bd-xtreme.com/index.php?id_product=532&controller=product
  4. Thats exactly what I refer this sled as when I update my brother and friends on it. "The White Turd"
  5. Got the new arms and used spindles installed this weekend, ordered a used Team clutch and the shorter tie rods this morning to install next weekend.
  6. Got the new a-arms and used spindles in last night, may install them this weekend while I try to figure out the tie rod situation.
  7. Absolute worst part is my wife was right there saying keep looking for other sleds when she seen the cracked hood but i didn't listen so since February ive gotten the "I told you soo" comment everytime she see's it lol. The upside is in Idaho you only have to pay 35 for your sticker and now they dont associate a vin or require proof of ownership to them just pay and ride (once i get a clutch) but id still take my 2001 Mountain Cat LE that i had for 11 years and modified quite a bit this past season before selling it, i knew its quirks and for a long track trail sled i could keep up and the old zuke 800 never failed. Ill take the time a turn the 2013 turd into a good sled like i have done to others and pass inspection to get the rebuilt title so that when i do decide to sell it in the future the next owner will have the full story up-front and know what they are getting into. Luckily i love wrenching on things or this would've ended up as a part-out sled.
  8. Well kinda long story but ill keep it short i bought the sled not knowing it had electric start, seller never mentioned it and failed to mention he had "totaled" it after hitting a stump got paid out insurance money back in 2017 and kept the sled and continued riding it, he was supposed to surrender the title to farm bureau when he reported it as totaled but didnt . Then he sold it to me and i find all this out when i went to register it my next paycheck, tried to get my money back, he threatened to sue me for the cost of a full wrap? and would only give me 1500 back and the other 1500 was "Rent" for having it two weeks, got law enforcement involved had a good case for the prosecutor in my county and his insurance sent me all the paperwork they had on it and wanted to help get him for insurance fraud but the transaction happened in a county that has only two sheriffs deputys so they said they didnt want to pursue him and that its a civil matter but they did give me his address to have him served got bummed and didn't want to deal with it anymore as i sold two of my sleds to buy it. After doing research over the summer i found i can get it registered under a rebuilt title but i need to replace the a arms and bumper (the only real damage) and take it to get inspected/certified. And fill out a few more forms. Titles dont mean anything when you go to buy, live and learn i guess.
  9. Got what was left of the electric start removed and installed the BDX steering bushings. Going to cut and weld a t post on and run a fixed riser since the telescopic steering system still has 3" of play at the bar ends. Also removed the graphics on the side panel and cleaned off the adhesive, still have to get alot of adhesive off from the full wrap that was on it. PO used self tappers to hold the recoil starter on and they are all stripped so either i tap it for a larger bolt or helicoil it. At this rate i may be able to ride by January? 20231029_151516.mp4
  10. Got a hot mess 2013 m800 SP to deal with this season. (Not even the worse part of the story) Needs a new clutch (blew on my first ride) and new a arms, remove electric start motor, fix steering post slop and replace the bent handlbars. Then a few smaller items like leaking 2t oil from the tank, broken ski loop, and bent bumper. Already installed new steering post plate in bulkhead, used 2014 hood , removed sun rotten full wrap, and updated belt guard. Before and current:
  11. Bought two or three ugga-dugga's should get her to stay put Jim.
  12. Cat fans standing in a field in Eastern Minnesota this morning........
  13. Nearly same sled i built, 2001 mountain cat 600 with a 98 zr motor, doesn't get out of the hole fast either but as soon as it hits 5k it takes off as it should, those old non power valve 600's have no bottom end so clutching is key
  14. Doues not look like a great deal of fun..
  15. My guess is it's a boondocker kit since he tagged them in that post.
  16. Knew it wouldnt be long before someone boosted a catalyst..... https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cpl8L4cjvBy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  17. Here is some footage of what YAMAHA has been developing the past few years with their single greatest engineer inside japan....
  18. To me its a little young, could be an area with minimal traffic but idk. On dirtbikes my 5 and 7 year old sons can ride but are learning so i only take them around camp on singletrack trails, or ride on the 3 acre track i built last year at home, I just dont trust other people enough to go out on larger ohv trails.
  19. There was, then there wasn't........then look what we have this year....
  20. Right? Just like the catalyst "cougar" photos that went around last summer, pretty sure every windows pc has snip-it as a standard program or download another screen capture app that doesn't look like ass.
