  1. I posted the cad and then was told to remove it , its not an assumption. when I dig my sled out I'll measure it out and give actual numbers. Theres a reason everyone is struggling to get the secondary to fully shift out and why the belt dust is everywhere and why even my own sled with 6 miles on it was littered with final drive belt debris - the belt is riding up on the outside edge of the pulley when tensioned.
  2. oh another one calling me dumb sheesh your full of the stingers today.
  3. oh you sure zinged me Jimmy.
  4. lmao what do you think I have a degree in ? the solid model of the chaincase in position 1 and 2 and the center to center measurements are there of the cat chaincase ... swing and a miss jim.
  5. The math and measurements are literally in front of you and you are denying it...
  6. You would think that , but when you start looking at the clutches and the issues with the walls everyone talks about theres something more to it , then with reports of bent chaincases ... yup. I am planning on stripping mine down in the coming weeks and can look into it much deeper than it has been.
  7. So this will be a long one... When the eccentric lifts the jackshaft up to tension the final drive belt it allows the jack shaft to rotate in the spherical bearing and pull the clutch out of parallelism. The eccentric difference between the two center positions is .118 apart (2 degrees over the span of the jackshaft) Using the bearings center as a datum , if you draw a line that is 10" long (just using generic numbers I've not measured the jackshaft length or the clutch diameter) it puts the end point of the line at .008" out from its flat position on center. now if you have a 15" diameter clutch that .008" dimension gets amplified at 7.5" on center to show that the clutch moves out on the top .287" and in on the bottom in .287" causing the clutch to be side loaded which explains all the belt dust those who have put time in on the sleds have seen. Now... throw high horsepower into the mix... as the engine clamps down on the belt and it trys to pull itself straight - the case aluminum case between the two drive pulleys will flex over a steel jackshaft - bending the chain case. which is what Riley and Dave saw when testing the 858 out west. Apparently the turbo 600s saw this same issue. This is also why Herf didn't run a catalyst at the soo i500 - they couldn't get the speed out of it it would hit a wall no matter what clutching they had thrown at it - you cant shift a sled out when it cannot overcome a misalignment of this magnitude.
  8. Tell me more grandpa how you are the smartest man in all of norman county Im sure its coming , except I dont know how that plays into the "offroad use only" side of things.
  9. Its more what Riley Kincaid and Dave found in testing that I am referring to - anytime you can get a non oem tune in you'll gain alot with the epa nonsense. Keep going grandpa... flap away
  10. Do your liver spotted Geriatric hands ache from holding that sign and thats why you get so cranky? How many national wins are accredited to your work ? How many times has arctic insider mentioned you specifically in a write up ? Keep flapping grandpa
  11. Funny thing is my names been affiliated with Arctic cat racing and performance pages and have contributed more success to the brand than a good chunk of the internet warriors but yeah.. keep flapping them gums.
  12. Lol I'm not riled, I'm not even mildly bothered, but seeing a 60 year old man talk like an elementary school child makes me feel bad for the people around you. tell me more about how my words hurt your feelings, do you need a safe space?
  13. when the truth comes out what the problem is people are gonna lose their fucking mind.
  14. The 858 that was on display at the hillclimbs was rode prior to being on display. Does your cousin know you're drunk at work, I cant imagine being 60 years old sober and acting like a 12 year old on the internet.
  15. And they knew at Jackson hole hillclimb there was a problem from their two factory mtn riders, and sleds went out to dealers and buyers without a remedy.
  16. drunk in the morning Jim? its hard to test and tune something that's already been released to the public and is being delivered.
  17. there's been two teams riding them at practice tracks in 23 and 24, and giving feedback. They were just approved this ISR season to change out Pulleys from a std pulley to a slipper for the RXC race program I would assume.
  18. its funny because the Cat Mtn boys were not happy with their testing of the 858 prior to jackson..
  19. There were a ton of plans , then Boobie did boobie things.
  20. needed a tax deduction for my big boy job.
  21. Tuned and a party pulley installed amongst other things around 800 hp now - with the amount of time being spent on the road I'm not going to waste it with something boring
  22. the original Prototype for Zeus was a apex motor , then later replaced with the nytro motor , had more wheel travel and better wheel base than the XX and was super nible, then some numlock got in bed with Robby gordon and it could have ended at the TOR acquisition but then an even bigger numlock resigned the contract with Boobie and the rest is history. they were going with a 998 mill from the beginning just werent sure what platform they wanted the engine from to adjust stroke and bore to meet ohv standards. I still have a ton of the pictures from the unveiling of the XX at the dealershow including the 4 seat version. so sad to see it fall by the wayside.
  23. " It LoOkS gReAt " can't hear you over my supercharger...
