Anyone else getting parts, looking at their new sled or prepping their machines yet?
what a small world... I'll make sure it doesn't go anywhere near a Culver's and it was good catching up with you man. Stop back in for the SX thread.

ZR3 SP 440
Coil tested good. going to back track... ordered new mikuni fuel pump, going to check the lines for kinks and pull the jets to see if something broke free in the old pump and plugged us up again. knew I should have put a new pump on it right away...

If you can't handle your machine...
I've seen the rental rider packs out there and frankly they're usually pretty sketchy on the skills and general common sense. Last winter we were up in Harrison Hills which is one of my favorite places to ride, just about to leave the lunch stop and a pack of them rolls in all on new Doo's with the rental info on them. Told my brother and my buddy we picked a perfect time to leave and start heading back. This was at 2pm mind you and most of them seemed pretty well sauced. Maybe the rental sleds should get breathalyzers installed as mandatory equipment.

not a Polaris guy by nature... but have a lot of respect for the Bunke's and their sucess in multiple disciplines of snowmobile racing over numerous generations. fully expect them to be near or on the podium with DeWald. edit... notice the BAW's?

Stinkis Polaris Project - 2010 Rush 600
Applaud this effort, even though it's a baler Polaris. Took me a minute to realize the OP was joyfully bashing anything and everything Polaris a few years back on the original HCS before it went moderation over heacy. those were damned fun times

ZR3 SP 440
after several hours of thought and deliberation... I'm down to the coil and wiring which I did move that were touching the muffer, OR the power valves which I haven't torn apart YET. based upon what I saw with a borescope the pistons have excess carbon build-up which means not enough spark or not enough exhaust getting out. compression is solid on both jugs. y, pipe and muffler are clear... checked them immediately after finding the mouse nest in the airbox. this needs to see max rpm before I load it onto his truck next week... bit frustrated atm.

Just got back ...
sounds like a great trip @Bontz, having spent a lot of time in the area between L'Anse and Big Bay not during snowmobile season that ride is on my bucket list. also glad your sled arrived and didn't start on fire because after all, this is the GF and because Polaris. &

it's alive... started second pull... idle speed is dialed in, won't rev over 6k but was able to take a couple laps around the parking lot. Need to pull power valves in the morning and sort things out. Will be passing the buck to my brother Monday and if i can't get it spot on it's going to our friend in PA to get sorted out @Not greg band @hayward my ass dragging has been limited to 5800 rpm for now.

If you can't handle your machine...
Ikr, it troubles me a bit as my baby brother is driving from RI home right now to ride for a week and thank goodness we'll be able to ride local in central Wisconsin to completely avoid the shit show 59 minutes from home. My concern unfounded or not is getting him home to his family and me to mine. Unlikely or selfish, if I see someone coming directly at me on the wrong side of the trail I'll likely jump off my sled and then beat their battered body into the ground. Too harsh? No, just maybe not harsh enough... 78 & 43... why? https://www.wsaw.com/2023/02/02/2-killed-vilas-county-snowmobile-crash/ you've posted this countless times Jerry and as very much as I deeply appreciate it, I wonder how many people ride right past and never give it a second glance? I've faced death directly in the face a few times... maybe that makes me hypersensitive to the reality of it and take such a defensive tone about the subject. Sigh... stay right or stay off the fucking trails.

if they can make it to lap 177 and still be on the lead lap... that's an accomplishment in itself. they also do the 'lucky dog' or something like that don't they Greg?

Big ass windshields
I find their Enduro 600 they don't import very intriguing... but now 'we' have the Catalyst coming which we'll be able to put a big ass windshield on. I actually wonder if it'll fit in the clamshell without hitting as the BAW on my 720 clears by only an inch or two?
