  1. Kind of figured that. I had seen that Poo at least cut their spring orders way down and they are still engineering new products and trying, so i figured textron would be cutting too.
  2. With all these sleds selling out - do you have any idea on the volumes for this year? Without any info I'd guess they're not making many, at least for pre-order. Surprised the 600s are sold out at that price point, but maybe they are only making 10 of them.
  3. What's weird is they are selling the kids sleds out in hours while making them for doo. If parts are limited why not just make green ones?
  4. Thanks. I see the info you put up. Embarrassing for textron. I thought they'd still have some kind of snowmaggedon pricing. At least before they had a pricing advantage. Now you get old tech and pay more. Maybe you all knew that and I'm late in figuring that out. With kids at home I've been buying a 600 every few years to keep the costs down but still have a newer machine to hopefully avoid headaches. You'd really have blinders on to order a cat at these prices.
  5. So 2020 zr 800 limited was $11,500. 2023 basically same thing - $15,500. And now there's nothing "base" available. The sno pro 600 was $10K in 2020, which is enough suspension for anyone buying a 600. Now you're at $14,500 to get into a 600. Are the other 2 brands going up like this too?
  6. Maybe it just doesn't work for me. Ordering was supposed to start today. Not that I'm buying anyway. Edit - now it's working.
  7. The cat website is almost updated for 2023. You could get in, but then the link for 2023 info doesn't work. Textron clown show continues.
  8. Yep, that's something they could offer without spending a penny in engineering costs.
  9. The rattling is just inexcusable. I really have no issues with the gauge - it tells me everything I need to know - gas, odometer, temp, rpm's. And it's just as good on my relative's 18 doo. But the mounting system is ridiculous, even if it was on a 1980 sled, and it rattled from day 1. I thought something was wrong with it but that's how it's supposed to be mounted. Even though i don't care much about the gauge, I will say my 06 fusion 600 had the handlebar controls for the gauge, and it was nice to make changes in view from the handlebars. Sad that that the 06 poo had a better gauge than my 18 cat. Let's hope for a better effort or a new owner in 24.
  10. So is tomorrow the big 2023 reveal? Not that anyone is excited. I keep hoping textron is playing the long game, realizing they'll sell whatever they can make for 2023, and then bringing out something competitive in 2024 when there will be more sleds available and people will have choices. But then I realize we're dealing with textron instead of cat, and there's no signs they're interested, at all. Luckily they have arctic insider doing their marketing for free, since they can't be bothered to maintain a website.
  11. they had that speedrack thing but I can't remember seeing one even at a dealer. Guess they're happy with their riders buying linq. You'd think yamaha would put some effort into storage, even if cat won't.
  12. So you know this but cat doesn't? Or at least they aren't telling anyone?
  13. Cat can't even show a definite date yet - website still says pre-orders delayed until late-April. They do still show sign-ups for the share the ride tour, the event where there are no rides from Cat to share - but all the dates have past now. Yeah dealers must be pissed at the lack of effort.
  14. Seems clear that, among other things, textron doesn't understand (1) how to market to consumers and (2) they aren't helping out cat by passing down tech from their other divisions. I will say that doing no promotion for 23 is better than that shitshow they put on for 22.
  15. Tooling? I thought not being able to get tooling is why they are trotting out the procross for another season.
  16. Their explanation of delaying the new release until all the 22s are done is crazy too. Like the marketing people/sticker designers are the ones sourcing parts and installing the gauges as they come in...seems that most people would have more confidence in 23s coming in on time if they got started on them earlier than later. Hate to see it. Not a die hard cat guy but have one now and like it, and would like to buy another one but yeah there's zero signs they are committed.
  17. Strangest thing - absolutely nothing showing on the cat website but country cat and arctic insider have them, probably other dealers too. Guess they figure with nothing new and everything likely to sell out in days, there's no need for marketing.
  18. Spend too much time off trail and get stuck too much as it is for a 988. Hopefully they'd have something different. In my view for a high miles high speed trail rider the procross with the turbo and EPS is probably hard to beat as it is.
  19. That's the thing - if this new chassis has been ready for a few years, who knows if it isn't being the times already, like when the new 800 finally came out and the others were on to 850s. A couple months ago, snowtech had said the trail chassis was closer to being ready than the mountain chassis. They were king of the hill with the M before the procross, hopefully they still have something left to show.
  20. What's the info with Argo being involved with Yamaha or perhaps buying out textron/cat?
