  1. Either you don't understand or don't want to understand. So, in your case, would your perception of the world change depending on the people you live or work around?
  2. Here ya go. Everyone can draw their own conclusions https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/factory-orders
  3. I agree with you and that this is probably not the way it should be done, but there is no law preventing it. I guess this is the state of politics right now in Wisconsin.
  4. "All things that are every bit our Constitutional rights on both the Federal and State level. Not sure why that upsets you. Not sure why that upsets you." Are they doing something Unconstitutional?
  5. You start multiple threads per day, whining about something.... I guess you would know about it...sorry.
  6. Literacy rate A 2007 report found that about one-third of Washington residents are functionally illiterate, compared to a national rate of about one in five. This is attributed in part to immigrants who are not proficient in English.[40] A 2005 study showed that 85.16% of Washington, D.C. residents age five and older speak only English at home and 8.78% speak Spanish. French is the third-most-spoken language at 1.35%.[41] In contrast to the high rate of functional illiteracy, nearly 46% of D.C. residents 25 and older have at least a four-year college degree, and 25% have a graduate or professional degree.[17] In 2006, Washington residents had a median family income of $58,526. This has not changed much during the past five years.[20] LGBT population A 2012 Gallup Daily tracking poll found 10% of the residents in the District of Columbia were most likely to identify as LGBT, the highest in the nation.[42] A 2005 Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law and Public Policy study estimated 8.1% of LGB people make up the adult population of Washington, D.C., the highest in the United States.[43] The 2000 census revealed that an estimated 33,000 adults in the District of Columbia identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual, about 8.1% of the city's adult population.[44]
  7. Probably a couple per week and we are not a very big company. I fail to see why there is so much opposition to something so simple.
  8. Video conferencing. Corporations do it all the time.
  9. Nice try. The idea was put forth, please explain why it should not be implemented. Give any reason why Representatives and Senators should be in DC and can't do their job from their respective states offices all the time? You already had help from benny. He seems to think that corruption is what this idea is trying to remedy. LOL.
  10. Honestly, there is getting to be only a few people on this site that care to discuss topics with understandable and comprehensive posts. The rest are merely mundane. Just like the last one....yeah lobbyists can travel, everyone knows that. It is worth about one post in the discussion when it comes to getting politicians to move away from DC.
  11. Can podesta be at the same place at the same time? We should keep all that big lobby money in DC, right? FFS, it's amazing that something so simple would have opposition from anyone.
  12. Those people were voted in to do a job. How are they saying "fuck your vote", Maybe they believe they are doing exactly what their constituents want?
  13. Oh boy. Get past the easy simple arguments, then come talk.
  14. Oh look, a 3 way with the "smart guys". Why don't you 3 go work on a better puzzle or slit some throats. LOL. All the while you can huddle up in the corner scared the Kavanaugh is going to let the government "spy" on you. It's nice to live rent free, I was thought about even though I wasn't the first to bring it up.
  15. Sure, I understand what XLT wants. I would like it as well, but it isn't going to happen. Not all people forget the bullshit what the extreme democrats in Wisconsin pulled and now they are "mad" because some politicians are actually passing laws during a lame duck session? Sorry, should they be running to Illinois? Starting recall petitions? How about protesting in the State Capital?
  16. XLT, Take a good look around you and look at the people who are trying to take the "high road" and "be better". Take a look at the policies that they would really like and how they really live their lives and which political party ACTIONS, not policy, but ACTIONS does that correspond to? Do they get offended by nativity scenes? Are they offended by santa claus, tooth fairy or the Easter Bunny? Do they get offended when holiday movies are shown during the holidays? Are they offended by the word "GOD" or if children recite the Pledge of Allegiance in schools?
  17. Be better as a party? I don't know what to tell you, but Walker was doing fine for Wisconsin, so how exactly was he supposed to "be better"? How about both sides play by the rules and do what's best for the taxpayer?
  18. LOL, Keep going george, I love when you seem to think I don't get it. Implement the stuff I don't get and see what happens.
  19. I used to be the other way, but why? It works both ways now, dems wanted it this way. When dane county magically produces 40,000 more votes than any previous election, something should be done, but I have not seen one Dem politician do it, until possibly now with Cortez. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Fuck trying to play nice. You know, all I ever saw was slinger constantly saying "it's politics 101" So there, I guess we can agree with that.

Never once did I think the taxpayer should have bailed them out.
  21. I am sorry, but if you expect one side to continuously take the "high road" while the other party continues to take the "low road" it ain't gonna happen. There were John Doe lawsuits all while Walker was governor....you didn't think some backlash was going to happen? Do you remember a bunch of politicians leave for Illinois? Probably not, right?
  22. Ok, great. But you failed to understand that the exemption was not the problem that democrats wanted fixed. They didn't want act10 at all,. so for any democrat to say the exemption was the problem is disingenuous at best.
  23. Take a look at the demographics of DC vs the rest of the country. It doesn't represent the populace.
  24. That's because I understood the situation, why, and the simple fact that it was being addressed at all. No one else wanted to deal with it. If the exemption is the problem, what's the solution? And who will implement it?
