There is no playbook for this. Full UHC or the 50/50 mix between it and private we have now people will be sent home knowing its a death sentence if things continue to spiral out of control. What we are doing now is flattening the curve. Hopefully the few drugs that are showing promise really do help and if so the mfg's are ramping up on them like mad to the best of their ability. Successful treatments and an eventual vaccine might be our only hope for not destroying our economy.

Its one of those double edge swords. HC workers have to get to work. Other essential employee's have to get to work. It has to stay open or the city will be in a world of shit. Not everyone can jump in a car/Uber or Taxi and go back and forth to work. There are other essential services besides HC that have to stay up and running.

He's going to start giving daily briefings from his home today. I think he fails to realize or he is using this as a political statement but if he's talking about HC workers in the reserves they generally have jobs they go to every day.

To put it mildly....its going to get much worse. Another guys wife is floating nurse at the U of I Hospital and they called her last night and said don't come in we don't need you. With all the non-essential services shut down I can see why.
