Fact is if when Trump issued the travel ban in late Jan if he also ordered or suggested complete self quarantine of non essential services the economy would have taken the same initial hit and while it likely would have limited the spread and deaths the same people bitching about Trump not taking it serious would have been bitching about him ruining the economy for low numbers of infections and fatalities. Guaranteed.

Sounds like he would have done self isolating in hot spots only as well.
