Back on the snow in less than 24hrs thanks to my bud and his new tig

Almost 3’ in 36 hours. Best snow in my local in 8 years.

Bluebird yesterday, and conditions were pretty good for 2 week old snow.

Been 5 years since we’ve had a good start to winter around here. Our ski hills closed for the month, and the bush is now full of city folk xc skiing, snowshoeing etc. Had a woman block us on a no winter maintenance road, telling us we’re not allowed on it. 😂 Dec 2 and dec 26 and 27

What a gong show eh! This is my closest go to spot, and it’s normally not busy, even on a weekend. Hopefully it calms down a bit. Will see what it’s like during the week.

Pretty lucky to have these tracts in my area. Permit is $80 season, and the rider is permitted not the machine. Enforcement was active on Saturday, one cop with one of the club’s directors, I don’t think anyone got charged though (need plate,permit, and insurance).

Opening day in our county trails the other day, I’ve never seen it so busy. Tough to get a parking spot at the staging area.

Picked this up last night. 2nd bike I’ve owned, but this ones 152# wet. (20 lbs lighter). Damn it’s sweet, no buyers remorse. Rode 3-4 hrs today on my property, having beer therapy now. A bit sore.

Still sounds like to me that crown land is a go for orv.

Is that your local club? Afaik - after may 1, atv is permitted on crown land (where atv use is allowed ie: general use crown land) lake of bays atv club will be making an announcement soon if they will be opening trails.
