SkisNH
You could look at it another way... When govt subsidizes roof top solar how much do they earn taxing the electricity? It's a negitive ROI When they subsidize an ev the return on the sales tax is negitive in a HUGE way. However, When they put in an oil pipeline they get revenue for every gallon. There is an ROI. It will be very profitable for the govt...the govt makes more on every gallon than the producer. Just saying things aren't as black and white as you presented. Everybody else pays for the solar on someone's roof. It's a government mandated money loser for utility companies. It's why I didn't sign up for it then and hesitate to do it now. I have a hard time fucking over my friends and neighbors like that. Some do not.
