Tomas.
I just got this old Coleman heater from my dad. It will light and put out heat but not nearly what it is supposed to. I assume the head or wick is old and dirty but replacements don't exist. After some looking on Google, I came across a Coleman collectors forum that said to put denatured alcohol (in my case methyl hydrate) on the head and light it apparently lit burns hotter and cleans up the wick. I did that and it made it marginally better. The next thing I seen was to soak it over night in carburetor cleaner then work it in the morning. The wick is behind a screen and I can't get at it. Is anyone familiar with these things? Edited October 23, 2022 by Tomas.
