Bontz
I was chatting with the sales guy at the new dealership my snowcheck is going through, and we were talking about the e-mails Polaris has been sending out the past month+ with various updates on snowcheck status. He indicated Polaris will be introducing a new "communication system" with customers. Apparently an e-mail will get sent out to customers and there will be a registration process to utilize their build portal, allowing more transparency on the build process. My understanding is that Polaris will be sending e-mails to customers in the coming week (to be sent out prior to Thanksgiving next week). Seems like a pretty solid idea, and should prevent all of the inquires to dealers on snowcheck builds/delivery status.
p51mstg
That would be very good, especially this year, but hopefully from now on. i got a package today from FedEx, guaranteed 2-day delivery. It was a rush to watch it go from Indianapolis to Memphis to Fargo to Bemidji and then out for delivery in N. MN. Imagine the opportunity to get spring order buyers excited about their purchase, when they can track a sled, as it starts on the line, ends up in shipping, is shipped to the dealer, is being prepped, etc. - that would be huge. This is something that the others will copy. Somewhat of a tangent: I used to travel to Roseau monthly for work and always tried to stop at Polaris if I had time. About the same time as my 1990 Polaris Indy was built, I was there for a tour. Just being there on the shop floor and seeing them build sleds like mine was such a cool experience, it’s something I wish everyone could see.
