USA Contributing Member $poorsledder$ Posted April 30, 2020 USA Contributing Member Share Posted April 30, 2020 I work for Sikorsky Aircraft, a helicopter manufacturer known for the Blackhawk. The army put out a bunch of money for a future vertical lift program. There are currently 2 competitions going o, first is a scout aircraft and the second to replace the Blackhawk. Sikorsky made the cut for both competitions based on a coaxial rotor with a pusher prop in the back. Yes, the Russians have a coaxial heli but Sikorsky was playing around with one back in the day as well. This is what is being developed: https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/products/s-97-raider-helicopter.html https://breakingdefense.com/2019/06/sikorsky-be-nimble-s-97-raider-shows-off-for-army-fara/
