Absolutely an inconvenience. Fuck masks. The old and vulnerable should stay home. Their families should be kept away from them. Quarantine the old and vulnerable and sick. Masks havent stopped the spread of CV in alaska because they aren't required except when you go to a hair salon. Quarantining everyone who entered this state is what slowed/stopped the spread of the CV in AK.

I will only wear one when required. It does not protect me from getting or spreading the virus.

I am not sick. I am not around sick people. I live in an area with virtually zero infected people. Masks are not required anywhere I travel. Not in any stores and not in any public places. I cant spread the disease because I don't have it. I cant catch the disease because no one around me has it. Im not vulnerable to the CV if I do catch it. As you mentioned, old vulnerable people are the most at risk and often the people who aren't wearing masks. Do they even care about their health at all? Why are they even out in public? Why aren't they in full lockdown and quarantined? Everything they need is available via on line ordering and delivery through family, friends or senior services. The old and vulnerable are the people at risk. They, along with their families should be taking precautions.

The entire state of Alaska has had this rule since the 3rd week of February. When You arrive in Alaska you are required to quarantine at home for 14 days (if you are a resident) or quarantine in a designated hotel for 14 days (for non residents). Air travel dropped to basically nothing and there are still very few cases of the CV in the state.
