Yup, old Bentley.  My old boss has one.  The thing is worth like $300k and he drives it in the rain and down gravel roads.

TDS better start getting terminal soon.  We need to rid the planet of these retards. They can ask for help if need be. End their misery on their own terms. We can help!!!!

TDS, that sounds scary.  I'm calling for 15 days to slow the spread.

Oh, and make sure you get tested early, and often.  We're all in this together!

So we’ve been pushed to not carry cash and now want us to pay 3% charge to use my debit!!

like stated give 3% discount for cash not charge for it if I use card!!

unfortunately for those restaurants that charge me 3% I take that off my tip percentage!!

My parents took us out for an anniversary dinner yesterday.  Place had a 3%+ automatic service charge that was not a tip for the staff.  I'm not a big fan of the government stepping in but I think they need to put some rules in place to make pricing more clear to the customer.  New York seems to have done something right.

Usually I carry a few hundred in cash for restaurants as many are charging 3% plus for cards or don't take them at all.  Think you will see more places trail side that don't take cards at all.  Then the servers get their tips in cash too.

Credit card fees: new rules in New York will help buyers control this process

  4. Cutting taxes is always the correct answer.  There is no amount of federal tax revenue the government brings in that it won't be able to squander away.

Less taxes need to be paid to the federal government.  It's more efficient to collect it at the local level and use it for local projects.

many in life have no interests. retirement doesn't make them appear. my girlfriend is part retired. they asked her back 2 days a week. no one applied. she has many interests and is always busy. she remains active and eats a good diet. too many retire, celebrate with steak dinners and hit the chair. gone in no time. that is the worst part of life to stop moving

Right now I have the exact opposite problem.  Sit on the computer all day working and don't get enough time to get up and do things.  One the weekends I'm outside working all day, wish I could do that every day.

They just recently changed our vacation policy so I'm up to 5 weeks which really helps.

  6. Looks like another short track this weekend.  In the 60s the next couple days and then rain on Thursday but I'm sure they will make the best of it.  I think those hills are facing north so probably leaving the snow there for as long as they can.

Son flew on a 787-9 today and said it was the best plane he's ever been on. Quiet and the best air quality he's ever experienced. Kudos to Boeing! Whoops, sorry for sidetracking...

It's a smooth ride if the instruments don't go blank and then bounce the passengers off the roof.  That plane needs to be grounded before it kills even more people.

They probably cut out the lower end models because most people snow check the latest and greatest. Has been that way for a long time. Not having new “value” sleds will help with their inventory problem.

They didn't make new XCs this year because there are too many carryovers sitting on dealer lots.

I’d dare to say a $10-12k snowmobile (money down taken out) loan is far less idiotic than a mortgage payment truck loan (that you’re upside down in after 3 months for depreciation)

    Both are idiotic.

BUT with the prices of sleds these days if you can put 7-8-10 grand down and pay monthly on the rest I think the difference in cash is better off in your pocket.

Nope, it's not.  Rates at dealers are upwards of 10% right now.  Even the local credit union is 7.5-8% depending on loan term and that's for prime borrowers.

There are some really good deals out there right now, if you can stroke a check for it.  Get a few dealers in a price war against each other on the same or similar models.  The time spent comparison shopping and a couple hundred miles will be worthwhile.

A lot of taxpayers are getting sick of annual or bi-annual referendums that the school districts push as crisis modes.

Oh, and lets put them to vote on off years and only make voting at one location in the whole county, the main school, on those off years.

They pull the same thing here. Think that was the first time I was even in the school was to vote against the school referendum. Eventually they did get it passed to build some new schools.

Almost 50% of my property taxes already goes to the school but they came back for more this year.  Thankfully it got voted down but just barely.

  10. I had a 16 that I put 8000 miles on with no issues.  They had problems with breaking piston skirts but there is a new updated piston design you can use.  Might be worth a quick freshen up if it is getting up there in miles.  Top end seal kit and piston kit is all you will need.

Higher fuel prices hopefully translates into less people on the roads which is better in every aspect.

Which indicates a poor economy and people struggling.  Yeah, real great.

  13. Most of what I make is better than what you can get in restaurants anyways.  Smash burgers on the griddle, grilled chicken and steaks, smoked ribs.

I can make a nice steak and a baked potatoe at home for less than an appetizer with tip at a restaurant.  We get takeout more than we go out.  I eat out enough when traveling for work.

Putting users in jail don't work.  Let them kill themselves.

If you are to make anything illegal when you do find dealers with large quantities put them to death quickly.

They either go to jail or rehab.  Either way, they can't stay on the streets using drugs causing problems.  Portland has a huge problem which is why even the far left is doing a u-turn on this issue.

Exactly.  She will pull a Mondale and only win her "home state" of Washington DC.
