I think there is a certain period of time (30 days I think) where no permits are required. It hits the local newspapers around here every summer. Kind of unenforceable law. I think they are trying to slow it down with parking enforcement to no avail .

There is a losing battle being fought on Kasshabog Lake on a piece of crown land. The New Canadians camp for weeks on end every summer. No shiitters ,just a hole in the ground if they are energetic. Groups of 50 or more most week ends. Township has no power to remove them. Ministry is toothless.

I did a lot of self education from the ages of 16 to 24 or so. Everyday for a few years. Quit when I started a family. Might take it up again for old times sake.

Any pics I could find of her cross country tea parties were full of purple grannies out for an afternoon . They did not look like anyone I would want to pick an electoral system. I doubt many of them had more than one election left in them .

I had a chance meeting with one of MMs represenatavies in my local Municipal Office last week. She was operating the Rural Constituency Office and meeting with some of the local Welfare Mothers (we are over run in this town).She looked like a real good hand holder and very sympathetic to her clients and no more than twenty five years old. I almost asked her where she was born but thought better of it .

I sit here wondering why Monsef's story has not made a bigger splash among the Canadian Press. It has been covered in the L.A. Times as well as in Iran. I understand anything coming out of Iran is probably is state supplied propaganda but they are at least publishing something. Any chance that the liberal friendly media at home are afraid to touch this one for fear of being accused of racism ?

Back to Monsef , it appears she is now being investigated for citizenship fraud. Not only did she not know where she was born she also stated the wrong year. I do not expect much of an outcome as she will be investigated by the Lieberals.

Agreed. Del Mastro had dug a giant hole for the Consertatives and Monsef picked up a lot of NDP support as well from the anti Harper sentiment. She sure did not get elected on merit. I still have not met anyone outside the city of Peterborough that voted Liberal

Somehow Monsef was able to travel to Iran in 2014. Everybody is keeping mum on how a visa to travel to that country was obtained . Story was shut down real fast. She ran for parliament shortly after returning.
