  1. Poo is consistently building junk engines, with crank bearing problems
  2. Stupid f'ing hot. you can hear it go "tink" when you are getting close to hot enough. Usually has to make 3 or 4 "tink" sounds before it is hot enough to come free. Sometimes they come all the way off, sometimes they come part of the way and need to be heated more, sometimes they eat themselves while coming apart. Even when shimming a brand new one its a PITA I don't rebuild them any more, IMHO not worth the time and effort. You can replace the rollers, and buttons, but the sheaves are still worn, and wavy.
  3. Polaris with a tow strap already attached.. Must be hard to get across that slush spot when are towing a blown up pile of shit.. From today
  4. Krom pointed out that every single poo engine over 600 is hot garbage, including the mid 200's 800, every year 840, even the new 650's are blowing up, and fouling plugs
  5. first year poo 800 had at least 3 complete top end re-designs as updates.. pistons/cylinders/head. Eventually they changed the cases, and the rest of the countless re-designes parts no longer fit the original bottom end, so they told those owners to pound sand.
  6. Polaris had more revisions to the first year dragon 800, than cat has had on all 800 engines since 2003 combined. Lets not forget that there was a single remap to the gen 1 ct2 800 to fix a rich issue causing flames from the exhaust, and 0 revisions for longevity or durability. Gen II came about in 2020 to lower emissions, and was/is more reliable than any year 800, or 840 poo. Somewhere after that a beancounter at textron, or QC managed to screw the pooch, and the "great deal" they got on injectors didn't turn out too well. That combined with the jerk-offs at team changing the spider shimming to try and keep their junk clutches from getting hot and exploding (over-revving, doesn't help) Causing a higher percentage of engine failures than any other AC product in the last 20 years. Still not as high as any poo engine over 600 cc, but higher than what AC riders have come to expect... AC released a flash to fix it, and is putting complete engines in any sled that has an issue.
  7. FWIW the tread is pretty nice, and does a good job of integrating your phone, blue tooth earbuds/headset, and plotting all the members of your group. You guys haven't seen the picture the new cat gauge yet?? There is no official date yet... Rumor puts it around March 15th, but that is as fluid as ramsteds gender..
  8. hows textron doing delivering your 600? Seem to remember you on AI swearing that you would have it in early January....
  9. Doo and POO volume are way down this year too... Parts availability issues are 100% supply side, not demand. Hell poo and doo canceled pretty much all dealer orders for showroom sleds, 6 months or more ago. Cat stopped taking orders for sleds back in April when they learned that parts wouldn't be available. When it comes to manufacturing capacity, AC has way more now than it did at any point in history. They have added production lines since the peak of sled sales a few decades ago. Textron is cutting their nose off to spite their face with this though. Boning their dealers by spreading the 120-200 units to all the other brands isn't that big of a deal as there isn't a ton to be made on them, but the increased production #s will lower their costs, and they will end up making more profit from each unit. Kids are much more likely to stay with the brand they start off with though, so it will cost them future AC customers.
  10. not a big deal for most of us in here, but check out the new AC build 120 and 200s doo is selling for 2023
  11. You still are that stupid, after all these years!!??? The clueless marketing clowns that wrote that, are prob the same clowns who wrote the add calling the poo 840 the most reliable engine ever Says team right on the clutch.. Team designed and manufactured the junk, after years of trying to convince the brass at AC to let them be a supplier. Team sells/sold the exact same clutches to several other companies, including john deere, and even bad boy/textron before they purchased AC Poo has a bunch of breaking/blowing up clutches too, also manufactured by team, see the thread in here....
  12. More junk from the folks at team industries.. Team's refusal to stand behind that junk is why we have the ADAPT clutches this year, instead of them not coming until the new chassis. And different suppliers for clutches, trans-axles, and front diffs for the entire dirt product line
  13. Then you aren't riding it the way its intended.. Comments like that are the reason that every hardcore big bump sled ends up turning into an over priced poser-mobile.. The XRS has been watered down to the point that its softer than a ZR limited The XCR isn't much better, and Even though the RR is the closest to what it should be, it is still watered down and softer than it should be
  14. @Nanner Lives in TRF, and should know if they have had curtains up on the line..
  15. Cat has sleds on the line, even pictures of it.. When is poo shipping their 600?
  16. Thought I was a lowly janitor and a shitty dealership.. how would I know anything...
  17. Polaris has been sending out those emails all winter promising customers their sled will be build in 2 weeks, and they can get their deposit back if they want... No shit they can get their deposit back, poo fucked up royally and hasn't held up their end of the agreement, and legally must return the deposit. BTW cat fucked up too, and has been refunding everyone who asks. But at least they didn't ship a bunch of sleds to dealers for floor stock, instead of using the parts to build ordered sleds.
  18. That can't be.. @Doug says that the poo 850 is bullet proof...
