  1. If you want to get that discount, you just need to keep an eye on the prices for a little while before you start to negotiate.....or just go out and buy what you want. Discounts change month to month, MSRP does not......and then what some dealers are willing to lower the price by varies a fair amount from dealer to dealer. And any dealer that tries to add on the BS dealer admin fee, etc...will usually not be the one offering the best price.
  2. I am surprised the limited did not come with the factory four corner air suspension? Towing any kind of weight with a 1/2 ton, air bags help so much.
  3. As long as the shop does a good job of installing & balancing them... Cannot believe how many places do such a crap job when balancing med to decent sized truck tires.
  4. I think the shift knob is only on the 10 speed and not the 6 speed.....i really do not like it either, likely be a good enough reason for me not to get the 10 speed, and I am not too fond of the serviceability on the 10 speed either.....
  5. From my experience with a couple the 5.7's in two different models, the Ram needed the manifold studs and bolts replaced, somewhere around 150,000'ish....and it is a fairly easy thing to do and quite common. The Commander that is now north of 200,000 has not needed it yet, they are still in tact.....however replacing the studs and bolts will be a major PITA. Other than the usual maintenance items, I have been fortunate, but could have went the other way too I am sure......I think the only premature item that went on the Ram was the tranny valve body at around 125,000'ish, but easy fix too, drop the pan, remove old, reinstall new and off you go!
  6. The V6 (3.6 or 3.7 I think) was worse on gas than the 4.7 V8 with less power.....it was a great little truck. Used it for a few years towing an open car trailer, with a couple of air bags in the back, worked great, but once I upgraded to an enclosed car trailer weighing almost the same, it was time for a new truck, just too much wind resistance....
  7. Yep, my 2001 Dakota had them as well!

    Moto X bike info?

The one I found on line was smart adventures, but looks like there is another one that looks nice Never been to either, just mentioning what another person informed me of. http://www.smartadventures.ca/ http://rjmotosportpark.com/
  9. No, torsion bars....key at one end that is used to adjust height and the other end attached to the LCA
  10. Move the f over, Puzzler.
  11. So new boat and truck...I know you think that Cherokee of yours can tow, but you might be overloading her a bit! 60mph is impressive, nice looking boat though.....going to also need a bigger quonset hut too.
  12. I assume you are referring to a weight distribution hitch...if so, ya, that is exactly what is needed, especially with that load..... Otherwise, pretty sure the ranger actually does use torsion bars out front.
  13. Exactly that....less tongue weight so an under rated vehicle could perhaps tow more that it should, which is not what you want....hence the sway comment above...
  14. They are still light, that is kind of the reason they are so popular.....but they have also come out with taller longer versions plus some have slide outs, etc.......that do start to add some weight.
  15. You should see some of those tent trailers on the market these days....very popular segment that I am sure are also starting to get up there in weight.
  16. Surprising if you load the weight just a little more to the rear of the trailer, what some vehicles can tow.....might feel a bit of sway though Those 460's sure could fit into some small places, with a little creativity....

    Moto X bike info?

When the person mentioned the training/courses to me, my first thought was I never had any training when I started, not even sure it existed, just learned on the fly and sometimes the hard way (few scars to remind me)....but now as a parent, not sure how I feel about my kid learning the same way I did Just did a quick search and came up with this: http://trailtours.ca/ http://www.smartadventures.ca/ Might interest you.

    Moto X bike info?

I was just at a local dealer and he was talking about a school /track/etc...of some sort in Barrie, he mentioned the name, but do not recall it, I know you are in Durham, not sure if there is anything out your way....might be something to consider to get your sons feet wet before you buy, they have bikes on site for use. The selling thing was just a long shot....I think I would rather not buy a bike from Kijiji at this point.

After you get her all looked after, let me know if your going to sell, casually looking for a YZ250. Can't comment on manual, years ago when I had one, there were lots of local dealers for info, parts, etc....
  20. I have heard that from so many people....towing sucks the fuel bad, but unless you buy a diesel, what doesn't.
  21. ass... That was a first for me, no idea what happened, luckily I was 200 feet from the gas station. I've owned three new ones and knock on wood been fortunate with all of them and between open car trailer, enclosed car trailers, sled trailer, pop up camper and travel trailer, all been good!
  22. If you have not, take a Ram for a test drive....can't hurt.
