  1. Go away momo your stupidity might be contagious
  2. Hey who knows what the real right answer is. For the most part everyone has an opinion of what works and what don't. But I do agree Canadas lumber industry is definitely not fair trade. The Government says they don't subsidize the lumber industry but yet they practically give crown land to the Irvings to cut and produce into lumber. That's a sneaky way of cheating free trade
  3. Highmark and I are having an intelligent conversation without badmouthing each other. 2 things you know nothing about ya bullfucking retard
  4. It's not as big of a difference now but still it's quite a bit more here. Some of that has to do with the exchange rate and overall cost of living here is more for everything. Wages are higher on average although that money don't really give you any more purchasing power because it's not worth as much.
  5. 365 day a year job. On call 24-7 you might as well say.
  6. Take in the exchange rate in the dollar and it's not as big of a difference as you would think.
  7. Im just saying how it works here. It's the one buisness in farming is doing well. Consumers pay more no doubt but the farms are at least profitable. Farming is a huge buisness in any country and we all know what happens when any big buisness fails Government steps in and bails them out at taxpayers expense.
  8. Take in the difference in the dollar and they are pretty much the same.
  9. It's a complicated system for sure. It depends on butterfat content and a lot of other things. Things momo has no idea about but yaps like the resident retard he is lol. Here is a link that might help explain it better http://thechronicleherald.ca/business/1175334-milk-for-all-it’s-worth-how-prices-are-set
  10. You are a terrible liar. Funny thing is you do it so much you should be much better at it.
  11. The price of milk is high enough to make a decent profit. To grow the buisness they buy more quota from when another farmer sells out.its been working very well in Canada for years
  12. Have you even stepped foot on a Dairy farm in your life?
  13. Thing is it hardly ever happens because they know what they can produce and keep track of everything to a T.
  14. Hey people are always yapping about farmers and how they are the backbone of the Country, I'm sick of hearing it to. But you can bet if the farmers in any country start to fail the Government of that country will step in and bail them out. At least this way it keeps the taxpayer out of it.
  15. This whole thread is about what's fair for the American and Canadian farmer and the profits or lack of that they make. It is not about the consumer. momo went out in left field as always like a moron.
  16. That's exactly what I meant. After all it's the farmers we are talking about here not the consumer. Only momo is to stupid to understand that.
  17. That's exactly what I said stupid. Prices are better if you aren't producing more than you can sell. Read it again sloooooowwwwlllllyyyyy stupid.
  18. It works great because there is never more supply than demand. Farmers are their own worst enemy sometimes when it comes to production. Perfect example here is potatoes. They don't make enough money because the price is to low because of overproduction. What do the farmers do? Grow more to try to make more money.
  19. Are you fucking retarded. Supply and demand is what dictates prices. If everyone is producing more than they can sell then the price of that product falls. If you are to stupid to see that then you have never been in buisness of any kind
  20. Bottom line is people are greedy. Without quotas they overproduce and in turn it drives prices down. And what does the farmer do? Produce more
  21. Here if you milk 50 cows and you want to milk more you buy quota from another farmer. Works well and keeps farmers in buisness. Eggs here are done in a similar way and the farmers do well. Do the same thing in the US and it would benefit the farmers in the same way. No taxpayer money involved here. Here if a farmer overproduced milk them it is disposed of. Farmer don't get paid for it.
  22. Stop producing more milk than you can sell. Pretty simple. I agree the lumber deal sucks because the Government leases woodland to the Irvings for nothing. But the milk thing is the US problem. It's like that in anything if you overproduced more than you can sell. Quota system fixes that.
  23. 250 good paying jobs I'm sure. Hate to see that happen
