  1. While it sounds all nice and peachy to solve the problem through strict laws regarding hiring. Sure that would help some but the Dems aren't even allowing us to enforce our current laws ..basically trying to shut down ICE and not let them do their jobs and creating Sanctuary cities ....:pan:..not exactly  productive in deterring illegal crossings.

The wall will dry this steady stream of illegals into a slow trickle it's worth every penny.  We can debate all day on how much enforcement will be needed on our side but we won't really know that until the wall is built..... a wall/fence/barrier itself has proven to be a strong deterrent in other areas. Yes it will be an expansive wall Very lengthy but I'm sure several miles of that are not conducive to crossovers anyway so the spans that may need patrol may not be all that impossible to keep watch over.

The naysayers holding this up and in disagreement have the usual anti -Trump anything mentality. Trump is spot on when he says..... They'd be all for it if it weren't his idea. And they were all for it in the past. That's all and everything that this is about.

  2. Walls while not perfect, are a strong deterrent and would definitely cut down on illegals.

Israels wall along with stronger immigration policies has cut their immigration problem  drastically.

Spain also has a wall and immigration dropped from 2,100 to 100. Even just attempts were discouraged. ..19,000 to 3,700.

I'll bet you're way wrong, you just like to believe you're an Einstein in your own mind. Think about the word you just used, "devastating".......even the 2008 mortgage crisis really wasn't devastating. The Great Depression could be considered devastating and we have not had one of those in almost 100 years. You're just a doom and gloom kind of a guy so I'm sure it's just normal for you to believe that devastation is imminent, hopefully you don't cry if it doesn't happen. :lmao:

The market will be choked for awhile amidst the house control and redundant investigations. Any more possible deregulations and economy boosting measures will be quickly stopped by the anti-Trump dem house at all costs. Trump won't even be able to wipe his ass without them investigating if he did it correctly.

Probably gonna get a bit ugly and very volatile, but "devastating "......nah.

I usually like trading on volatility but holy Moses....its even becoming a bit much for me.

In reality, nothing all that dramatic has changed. Companies for the most part still reporting strong earnings. Unemployment still low. Rapid rate increases arent helping but IMO being way over reacted. I think Trump may very well reach better terms with China.

No end of the world doom and gloom here Iike the dems are hoping for.

Not even close. UPS delivery drivers and feeder (truck) drivers can make 6 figures easy, along with 3-4k a month pension after 30+ years.

Depending on what part of country. ...the pensions vary widely.....and in some areas 25 years and 55 years old qualifies and more than 4k

Its the repetition like any other job.  think of how many times a day a driver steps in and out of that truck alone.    i did the holiday drivers helper thing in  91 and being new to those movements i was sore as a mutha fucka for a month,  and i was on layoff from a site development co.  far more physical than delivering packages.. or so i thought.   her story sounds very fishy to me.  taking it in one lump  just aint right imo   these people are doing this job for quick cash and getting blindsided (if it wasnt in the agreement signed)  is  wrong.

It sounds like the union fee  was in the application ....just plain wrong. These temporary helpers know they are getting let go by Jan 10th at the latest....90% are let go Dec25th.

Yet he had shifty Schumer (who previously voted for 700 miles of border "fence ") in a room who wouldn't even look at Trump to discuss it.

Its all about the dems just being anti-Trump on any issue. This has nothing to do about the money.

I just hope Trump holds firm and keeps the shutdown indefinitely.

Ugggh , here I thought you had it. Take an old clutch belt and put nails in it every inch or so. Then compresss it a bit, put a mark on the side of the belt, and move it down a bench. If you still can’t see what is going on, repeat it with the nails out. The track will go the same distance each time.

Slinger....it depends where your measuring it from.

In your example if you were to measure where the outside of the nail touches the surface and rotate that completely around until that same nail touches the surface again,  it would be traveling much further than the belt without nails in it. If you're merely marking the inside of the belt and turning it one revolution ...I think you are correct there would be no change in distance.

I just did a very scientific experiment with two rolls of toilet paper LOL.

I used one full roll of paper and the other was half-used from a major dump I did. I marked the outside of both rolls and slowly rolled them until the mark had made 1 revolution. The larger diameter roll traveled much further. The smaller roll had to go much further than 1 revolution to match the distance.

It's so easy to understand and that was the only point I was ever making

Dead wrong. Take a 144" track with 1" lugs and another with 3" lugs. Now cut them in half and lay them out on the floor... which one is longer?

A track spinning around two axis is not even remotely like a tire which is spinning on one axis. That is where you are getting confused. Along with several others...

No that's wrong take a higher profile tire from the same size rim cut them in half laid out would be the same distance but when turning the higher-profile tire will go further

I'm no engineer, but it appears s though you two are talking about two different things. @f7ben is talking about the final drive on a snowmobile and @Polaris 550 is talking about the lug heights effect on one turn of the track. The final drive takes pl;ace at the  driver, the track doesn't have a thing to do with it. Sorry uncle naughty, bipolarhooknosedfag is correct as far as final drive on a snowmobile.  Damn, I feel dirty for agreeing with Bhen.

That's exactly what I was saying...the larger diameter track with the longer lugs will rotate further than the 1 inch lug when the TRACK has rotated 1 full turn if marked from the outside. The secondary will have to turn slightly more on the 3 inch lug vs the 1 inch lug to complete the full 1 turn of track.

Yet there are still some saying thats incorrect.

Its a continuous loop much like a tire....doesn't  matter if its round or elongated. ....the larger diameter goes further on 1 full rotation.....sheesh

This is such a load of stupid bullshit it doesn't merit a reasoned response.

Bullshit.....If you dont think the president facing possible impeachment proceedings and dems control of house and their desire to undo many of Trumps job creation policies doesn't have an affect on the market. .....you're more wacked than I already thought.

    You're right....this is about Trump

Overall the economy is still fairly robust.

Not saying we weren't  due for a pullback but end the Mueller witch hunt and watch the market surge. That and the uneasiness and uncertainty of dems controlling house has many on the sidelines.

Always tough to time the bottom but I think we have a ways to go....i will start slowly jumping back in probably late January....or perhaps sooner pending outcome of the Mueller fiasco.

This was not the question in the OP.  He didn't ask about one full rotation of the track.  He asked about one full rotation of the input.

    @motonoggin

So you are in agreement that one full  rotation of the track itself would result in a slightly longer distance with a 3in lug versus 1 inch...... based merely on the outside diameter

I told you what the definition of collusion was for our bet. You agreed to it. Members of the trump admin did meet with the Russians to discuss hillary dirt. A memo even proved this

Yeah but that's just opponent research....standard  stuff...not collusion.

cut an lay equal length tracks flat....  Say 162 inch tracks....  One with no lugs and one with 3 in lugs....  The tracks would be the same length when laid out flat

Now cut a 31 in tire and stretch it out flat and a 35 inch tire and stretch it out flat....  35 inch tire is longer

If you can understand that, you are getting somewhere and there is hope for you.

Yeah it all boils down to inner diameter not outer diameter
