Crazy, OTD at C&C was $16,1k. Fancy gauge and 1.5” track.
I’ll look at Dee’s as well, if they’re somewhat close I’ll likely go with them. Their service is 2nd to none, but they’re a PITA to get to.
No, C & C in Brighton. Every toy I buy, I give them a shot because they’re close. And every time they’re ridiculously high, and never have parts in stock. I like to support locally but they’re nuts.
Haven’t been to the old Anderson’s since I bought KX80 there when I was 14 haha.
So Cat is dropping their pants on pricing, falling even further behind in sales, and only building spring order sleds? Sounds like things are going really well, sound business model.
I mean a good set of shocks is a pretty good investment, but I’ve done a couple trips across the UP on my buddy’s XS Adrenaline, and survived just fine.
That and they’re made from shit brittle material. I wish I could remember the name of company I used for the rollers, probably still have a set or two in the garage.
I’m sure I’d be happy with either, shit can happen with any of them. Does Polaris have anything like the Linq system? Most of my riding will be 3 to 4 day across the UP trips, the Linq set up was slick.
I looked a couple days ago and if memory serves me right the Stage 3 were around a grand for the front set, and the rear 500. List price, I’m sure they less through a dealer.
It’s about $1500 or so for a set of Elka’s set up how I would want them. Less whatever I sell the X shocks for, so it’s about a wash.
Going to do my best to just ride and not fvck around with aftermarket shit, so in the end maybe the XRS is what I go with. Then I have to buy a windshield ha.
I haven’t ruled it out, I like the idea of the lower front end of the X. If the shocks aren’t up to the task, a really good set isn’t that much more than the premium for XRS. I don’t see myself riding like I use to so I’m guessing the X will be fine.
I really didn’t think that little nub would add a great deal, maybe just slightly on the ice. I’m not worried about drag racing anymore so id like to avoid studs if possible, but if I miss them they’re easy enough to toss in.
